I'm surprised they were able to get anything for him. He clearly wasn't returning next season, and he has been nothing short of awful this season.

Of course this begs the question as to who will fill his spot in the starting rotation, given that we already have Bumgarner and Kelly out indefinitely.

Blue jays color commentator is saying he thinks it is clear Ray is having mechanical issues.

That much is obvious. The question is Ray's willingness to fix them (or else, are our pitching coach and manager that terrible that they do not see those mechanical issues and have not been trying to address them with Ray)...

Does it matter at this point? There are other starters in the minors that could suck as bad as Ray. And there are what, 6 starts left for that spot?

It seems like Robbie was trying to change everything on the fly - and not sticking with anyone thing.

(My fear, by the way, is that we are witnessing the same exact thing happening with Weaver...)

I feel like there was too much tinkering and adjusting but I am obviously no expert.

That would be a Torey Lovullo issue, which means expect more of the same unless and until Lovullo is shown the door...

I assume this means Dbacks are actually sellers at this point. At this point slash as much as you can and get the best possible return. Gallen is almost untouchable but everyone else...
