I voted Howard, but I agree with Sly.

The pick will be moved to Atlanta, and LA will grab Gordon at 5.

BTW Eric, are we voting on who will be selected at each slot (which is what I assumed), or what each team will wind up with?

Who will be selected in the slot. That's the only way to do it: a team could trade out of the draft entirely (how do you vote for "no one"?) or another team could trade in.

I think they'll wind up with Gordon also, and it might be at #2. I have to think about it for a bit first. :D

It makes more sense to me to vote on the position, especially on this case where most of us are expecting a trade with Atlanta.

So Chap,

You make fun of my first draft, but then vote for Gordon to go 2nd?

You punk! :D

I voted after Eric proclaimed it was a vote for position. I voted pertaining to the team. The Clippers I think prefer a point guard, and IMO, Gordon is probably the highest rated--BUT, I don't think he's worth a #2 and I don't like him as a choice for us.

Howard.

I would say there is a 99% chance. I leave open 1% because IT IS THE CLIPPERS.

I fully expect them to take a point guard if they keep the pick.
I'd give the clippers get a 40% chance of selecting Howard. It's the clippers for crying out loud, 1% is far too generous!

They are already fielding a huge number of offers for the pick. The real question is whether they trade before the draft or after the draft.

BTW, on another thread I mentioned that the Clippers are rumored to be interested trading Brand. Taking Howard might make that easier to explain as opposed to admitting it is just a salary dump.

I had not heard about Brand and that does make a difference if true

I have not heard much about it lately, but the Clippers are notably "cheap". Brand will make $12 million this coming season, the second year of 6 year $82,173,000 contract. At the same time, Wilcox started showing signs of life late in the season, so the Clippes would not have to start Howard right away.

I'm not saying this is what they would do, but trading Brand could get them a lot in a trade.
