There were several noteworthy people not on the field practicing this PM:
Starks yet again(I heard he practiced in the AM)
Barrett
F. Jones
Dishman
Big had the biggest cast I have ever seen and he did participate in the PM!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
They started the practice off by fielding punts on the lower field and all I can say is that Larry Foster was absolutely HORRIBLE! I can't stress that enough. He completely muffed 6 punts(5 in a row) that were right in his hands and he bobbled a couple more.
Bryant Johnson looked the best. He seems like a natural!
Anquan Boldin looked good as well!
As far as punting goes Player is light years ahead of the rookie #2. He is way more consistent and was kicking the ball a good 15 yards further with better hang time and placement.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
They then did a whole lot of walk through stuff on the lower field. The first team D-line during that was:
KVB Bryant Wakefield Pace
I must say that Pace is a physical specimen! Bryants arms look to be way more cut than last year as well!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The WRs were looking really good. Very few drops and the people that stood out were McAddley, Gilmore, and Johnson, all recieved lots of praise this PM from Sullivan. Kasper and Boldin looked good and Foster was just ok.
Two plays of the day both involving Blake he threaded a needle in traffic to Diamond who caught it for a TD in the 7 on 7 drill. Then later in 11 on 11 Blake threw a gorgeous 40 yard bomb to Gilmore who caight it in stride down the sideline.
Both McCown and Parson looked to regress today. Neither could hit the open man and looked a little flustered at one point McCown was even walking back to the huddle with his head down as Mcginnis ripped him him for missing a wide open guy about 8 yards in front of him.
Banks #84 and Wakefield got into a nasty tussle. They were going at it for a good 15 seconds before the othe rplayers had to sperate them. A few plays later Mcaddley and Rhett Nelson has a small scuffle as well.
The practice was upbeat. Mcginnis on the whole didnt do much chewing today. So he must have been pleased.
just some personal observations:
Hodgins
Pace and Johnson will help this year!
Duncans a goner
Team speed
Adrian Wilson looked fabulous and not just physically!
Mike Jurecki is an idiot. He spends so much time gabbing its unbelieveable I dont know how he forms an opinion?????
I hope you all enjoy this I will be back at practice tomorrow!
