#18 and Bennet for Boldin the Cards would be stupid NOT to take that deal. I think Quan is great and all but we can get the speedster WR we need at 18 and still have the #8 pick for BPA.

I like it, I lite it a lot.....

No way I want to dump the Quan, but we could use the #18 for a speed WR. Bennett takes care of the running game and we still have the #8 for a CB.

Doh great minds think alike :stupid:

The speedster we need! and who is that exactly? How many mid first round receivers have been as good as Q has been? Sometimes I wonder what some of you guys are smoking... The draft isn't perfection in there aren't that many great players in it like some of you seem to think there are...

Ok guys mark this down...lets see how good Bennett and any receiver picked 18# or higher fairs in the NFL.. I bet they are just a sidenote compared to what Q will do in this league....

We got the idea from your first post. You may note that I said I dont want to get rid of the Quan. Just like Quan selling his house and getting traded to Minnesota, this is pure speculation...just like your opinion.

I love Boldin, but if the Vikings offered us Bennett AND the #18 pick, we would have to at least consider the possibilities.

That being said .............it'll never happen.

You told LVCard that great minds think alot and he said it would be STUPID NOT to make that trade...and my opinion doesn't have to be speculation. Lets just see what the receiver does in the middle of the first round or the first speed reciever after 18 does and see how Bennett does and we can compare careers.

Well, you'd better be the one to keep track of it. I'm sure nobody is going to remember a silly trade rumor thread made in the middle of March years later!

I just might ;) anyways it would be a good example when everybody wants to trade our players for guys who haven't played a down in football yet... I guess I could go back to previous drafts to see how a mid first round receiver did..hard to compare Bennett though..

I talked to Josh Scobee of the Cards today and he said.....

that A. Boldin is selling his house because he expects to be traded before the draft. I asked him where and he said he thought Minnesota for Bennent. I don't know how in the know Scobee is but he seemed pretty sure Boldin was gone. He even cracked Bennent might steal his carries jokingly. Real nice guy.

I picked this off the Viking board (Purple Thoughts)it was put on that by someone named AZ Vike (no its not me!). The profile on the person says he is a recreation director at Lake Havasu. Doesn't appear to be a board basher. But take it for what it is worth perhaps nothing.

Would be no supprise to me as I have felt the longer this went on the more likely a trade would occur. Boldin may just want out of here and made his price so high that it is in our interest to trade him.

I agree, Keep Quan do not trade him at all, Cards has the mentality and Character and skills this team needs. Bennett and the number 18 pick for Boldin. :trout: No way.

The only thing I see Boldin being traded is because the Cards have F'n 3 possesion WR's, Its ********.

Who?

Who is this speedster everyone is talking about? I think one 5'10" guy ran a 4.32. The rest were 4.4, or 4.5. Not exactly a burner in my opinion.

Also we trade Boldin kiss your playoff dreams good bye.

Who is going to go over the middle and catch the ball?

Who is going to be our guy on 3rd down?

It would leave us with 2 good WR, and not much more.

Trade away Boldin, and trade away the playoffs.

Peace

If he is being shopped, that is probably the reason. If they trade him I have another useless jersey.

Isn`t Quan still under contract for 2 more years? If so why would you trade a second round pick playing like a top 5 pick for a rookie with no NFL experience, that you will have to pay first round money. It makes no sense talent wise or business wise

Assuming Q is physically OK, I don't like the deal.

Anquan is a proven entity. An 18th pick (ironically where we nabbed Johnson and Pace) is not. And, just a hunch, but I suspect Bennett is running on empty.

Please Rod and Dennis - Let's not get cute in order to display your draft prowess. Just play the percentages and build us a solid, winning football team.

No way would the Cards make that trade. Maybe for Bennett and the Vikes #7 overall pick. Boldin means to much to this franchise. They have made him the top Cardinal player in the media and to the fans. I very much doubt that we trade him anytime soon. That would be like trading Otis Anderson after his rookie season. The guy had near god status the same as Boldin.

What?
Isn't it fun to have a high profile player worthy of such stupid trade scenarios. :D
