Williams is a waste of cap space. He gets tackle way too easy on PR. King he might be a good backup some where else but not here.

I wonder if they still plan on bringing Vandenbosch back with Zellner in the fold?

Thats great they resigned Zellner, its amazing having a good Staff now. Much props to Denny, Mike Bidwill and Graves  I wonder what this means for Pace and KVB? Which one do the Cards hold on to??? What's even worse is that KVB was a very high 2nd rounder and Pace was a first Rounder not that long ago, Taken by a team that was desperate at DE and we are talking about which of the two might make the team, Wow the old regime Sucked ass.

I don't think this is hard. Pace, though I must admit I like KVB better, due to 4 sacks in limited time, he's only in his 3rd year, and KVB is injury prone.

Doubt it. With Zellner signed we have 5 DEs on the roster.

Cutting King and Williams will save us $1,2M under the cap.

More than likely KVB since they'll probably give Pace one more year to prove himself

Cards Re-Sign DE Zellner; Release Two Players
The Arizona Cardinals announced Tuesday that the team has re-signed defensive end Peppi Zellner to a two-year contract. In accordance with club policy, terms were not disclosed. In addition the Cardinals have released quarterback Shaun King and wide receiver Karl Williams.

Zellner (6-5, 262) was a 14-game starter for the Cardinals at defensive end last season after being acquired along with running back Troy Hambrick in a trade with the Oakland Raiders on August 31. In his 16 appearances last season, Zellner collected 35 tackles (23 solos), 2 sacks, 8 quarterback hurries, 4 passes defensed, and 1 fumble recovery.

He broke into the league with the Cowboys after being drafted by Dallas in the fourth round of the 1999 NFL Draft out of Fort Valley State. He spent the 1999-2002 seasons with the Cowboys and appeared in 57 games (17 starts) recording 125 tackles (71 solos), 6 sacks, 1 forced fumble, and 1 fumble recovery during that span. He played in 16 games for the Redskins in 2003 collecting one sack.

King and Williams were both signed as free agents from Tampa Bay in 2003. King appeared in three games last season, with starts against Carolina on November 21 and vs. the New York Jets on November 28. He finished the campaign with 502 yards passing on 47 completions with one touchdown and four interceptions. Williams played in 15 games as a wide receiver and punt returner, finishing the season with 18 catches for 197 yards and 42 punt returns for 286 yards.

IN fairness Karl only fumbled once in that game, while McCown and Vick were putting in on the ground with regularity.

the last i heard

they wanted to keep KVB. KVB however wants a shot at playing time. Injury prone? Didn't someone stomp or fall on the back of his legs the first time?
I believe he's been cleared and declared 100%. If that's so, I'll take KVB over Zellner.
I've always liked Pace and thought he'd break out last year but...

honsetly, I'd take whoever was the cheapest. With Kenny King moving to DE, there's no reason to keep all three of those guys.
