More details on the Leon Joe situation

The East Valley Tribune provides more details in their story. It seems Joe was less than cooperative and a marijuana cigarette was found in his vehicle, which was parked in a no-parking area. He does not seem to be the sharpest knife in the drawer

According to court records, on the night of June 30, police approached Joe’s silver BMW after they saw it parked in a no-parking zone. They knocked on a window and Joe, shirtless and in the driver’s seat, refused to surrender his license and registration when asked.

When police searched the car’s center console, they found the pistol and a second magazine. They said they also found the butt of a marijuana cigarette.

Joe is probably the frontrunner for that spot, but his chances for earning a roster spot weren't that great to begin with. This doesn't help, though..

It's not his actions, but what the NFL will do to him, that matters most. He will be evaluated, probably be put on some kind of substance program, etc.

When you're on the fringe of making the team, having potential game suspensions hanging over your head probably doesn't help.
