Im trying to hold out hope that he didnt play much because Colt didnt have the arm for his type of plays.

If he cant get on the field now....man.

I'm a known conspiracy theorist... but I kinda think they have been hiding him.
Based on what he showed last season there is no reason for him to be on the roster unless coaching has seen serious improvement... but if he has shown serious improvement why isn't he getting any balls?
Then you look at our cap situation...losing green and kirk.... an unproductive season commands an unproductive contract.... so they don't use him because we really don't need him this season...then they extend him cheap and give him a bigger role in the offense next year..... maybe hop and Moore outside with izzy as 3

I dunno...but they haven't even risked dropping him to the practice squad....there's reasons in there somewhere

Maybe its cause Strev failed when given the chance, but they had no problem cutting him. So there may be something there. Training camp reports were positive.

He's looks so stiff when he's out there running around though SoonerLou. I mean he's straight-line fast, sure, but if he tries to shake and bake, it really slows him down. No wiggle.

Use Moore more.

this is the answer. adjust to the talent we actually have on the team. if this kid has the goods and the coaching staff has been doing their jobs, at the end of the year Moore SHOULD be counted on a little more.

I totally agree, the kid has talent but Idk really? Can he play on the outside? At Purdue he ran slants & shallow crosses mainly but he has top notch speed & can make people miss. He's definitely needed now cause Isabella just has straight line speed. Maybe use Isabella on go routes with Moore coming underneath in open space?

there are better solutions out there, but if the question posed to me is Fitz or Andy, I’d take Fitz. There’s a reason Andy can’t get any offensive snaps and it doesn’t have to do with depth chart as there have been many opportunities with injuries to get on the field

I saw Fitz at a Suns game about a month ago... I don't feel like he has kept himself in football shape. His already hefty behind appears to have enjoyed it's time away.

The Purdue fans I know all insist the QB Blough had such a weak arm they just ran a short passing attack. I'm really surprised at how little we've used him downfield. Remember in camp the constant reports showing him catching deep shots. Very surprised we're not doing it now

Me too. Idk about the QB at Purdue's arm strength but I do know Jeff Brohm's offense runs a whole lot of quick slants & shallow crosses. Moore would be perfect on quick slants with his ability to make people miss.

Why couldn't Isabella be used in the slot for short crossing patterns, instead of them using him for deep passes as they had done. No LB is going to stay up with him out of the slot. With Greene, and Kirk on outside, and Moore split out not so far, then put Isabella in the slot to cross middle short taking LBs with him and Conner sneaking out of the backfield. Well?

Fitz, and that’s with him staying retired. Isabella is subtraction by addition.

Fitz is in golf shape, which means he's in poor football shape. Any fast twitch fibers he had firing are now long gone. But if he starts working out now he might be able to get into decent shape by the playoffs but he wont be winning no races. I suppose he could still play the slot and do some blocking though?

Its nice to see how many dreamers are on this forum
At this point Fitz is not worth of taking away one single snap from Wesley
That's crazy talk. Even if Fitz is not in playing shape he's still in shape. Put him in the slot...him and Ertz crossing on LB and DB ? Cmon now......Wesley who?

Great. So then we put Kirk outside where he’s not good. That way we have someone who’s slower than molasses in the slot who’s not good and Kirk outside who’s not good.

Sorry man... that plan sucks. Just like Fitz would not only in the slot at this point, but also having a trickle down effect making another position weak as well.

Well you adjust ...put Wesley outside since he's next...but to be all Debbie downer over Fitz is ridiculous....typical dark side reaction after a bitter loss...I get it we sucked..but still had a chance. Let's kick some lion ass and clinch our birth since then it becomes who's next not what if
