I actually think they'd gain more interest and sell more tickets. I really don't doubt it at all. I know many older fans would be turned off, but the younger football fans in the Valley would really go for it.

Yes, excellent idea. Lets trade Dockett, Berry, Wilson, Boldin, and a d.p for Moss. We are really lacking at the WR position. This is a joke from you AZCARDSWIN or whoever started this thread right.

4 future/already probowlers for 1 probowler thats how you build a team. ARZCARDSWIN = Dave MgGinnis

Hey I have a great idea pay Boldin then we won't have contract disputes with him. We will also save about 4 million.

Last i saw the Cardinals average like 30,000 or so fans per home game-LOL...Moss would be a huge draw locally and nationally- he's the type of guy that fans will attend road games just to see.

Problem with Moss is that, if he is so special, why would the Vikings be trying to trade him? If I was Graves, I'd ask the Vikings "why do I want a player who can't stay on field when he's part of a fake field goal?"

I know it's fun to bash Moss and all but there was a very valid reason why he was not on the field. The Vikings had 12 men on the field and the coaches told Moss to hurry up and get off the field so they wouldn't draw a penalty. Apparently running the play without the designed receiver and without the QB knowing he was off the field was a better option in Tice's mind than simply calling timeout, making the Vikings intentions clear, then lining up a normal play and trying to score.

I can understand how you'd miss it because the announcers were too busy questioning Moss instead of paying attention to the fact that there were 12 men on the field. The announcing crew, who has ready access to any replay they want, had to ask Tice what happened because they didn't pick up on the extra man. So they showed it again before the 3rd quarter kick off. That's what happens when you advance your Moss is a cancer story line instead calling the actual game.

No, no, no, NOOOOOO to Randy Moss. We have a good core of wide receivers. We do not need this guy.

Plus, if he acts like a total jerk when his team DOES make the playoffs, then how's he gonna act in AZ when the team goes 6-10? I don't care if Denny can control him or not. Talent over character? Sure. But football is a team sport and I want a team player. Moss ain't that guy.

Not interested in Moss, even less if we have to give up one of our D players.

Yup he would be a draw more people to the games but you're sacrificing your future esp with the younger guys when you exposed them to this cancer. If Green didn't control him then who knows if he's going to control Moss now.

The former Vikings coach has three players who could give the Vikings the kind of defense that would help them navigate deep into the postseason — end Bert Berry, who led the NFC with 14.5 sacks, strong safety Adrian Wilson and tackle Darnell Dockett."

Trade Dockett and Berry and Wilson for Moss?

Uhhhhhhhh....no.

I would not give up one of them for Moss much less all. He probably makes more than all of our guys combined salary. We do not have a receiver problem. We have a QB, Running game problem. Lets address those problems and forget receivers until we get someone who can throw to them and someone who can run the ball.

Lets all put down the kool aid. Moss is a me player and yes he is a game breaker but with his attitude problems and being a cancer in the locker room, no thanks I'll pass on this trade.

I honestly feel if Moss leaves the Vikings via trade it will be to Arizona. With that said Dennis Green would not give up any of "his" young defensive studs for Moss. But Boldin (and his impending contract dispute) and a future draft pick can be had for Randy Moss-IMO. Especially when the Vikings will be at a disadvantage as they need to move him and the Cardinals don't truly need him but will glady take him. And with acquiring a mega star like Randy Moss the Cardinals will find themselves on national tv (and in the endzone ) a lot more in 2005!

If you trade for him then trade him for a RB or QB that could work. If we traded Quan straight up for Moss. Problem is I think most teams would rather have the younger Quan than the aging bad image Moss so that is not an option in my opinion. Forget Moss I say and lets move on to fill our needs. If Quan wants to leave he still has two years to play so let him play and he will do good as he will be playing for a big contract. We need to turn this ship around no later than 2006.

If Denny Green wants Moss is AZ, I'm all for it--but not for the talent we have here. Give them our first rounder and Fitz. They'd jump at that and we'd come out on top, IMO.

Fitz and a 1st rounder???????? Surely you jest? I would not even give a 1st rounder. We do not need another receiver. we cannot keep the ones we have happy.

I think this is the wackest thread I have seen in over a year. Some of the ideas thrown out here must be coming from MN. Surely no right thinking Card fan would do some of what I am reading here. I must be having a nightmare. Hope I wake up soon.

As much as I like Boldin, I would certainly trade him for Moss. If they want defense I would give Adrian Wilson up. He had a solid year but can he do it consistently? It was a contract year for him!

Lets give up Wilson and Boldin, draft Jamaal Brimmer SS and get a real QB and this team should have no excuses!

Aha I knew you had an agenda to get Brimmer here. :)

I want to see his 40 times I'm still wondering if he can't play together with Wilson? I'd bet he's as fast as Ohalete or Lassiter in his prime. I know UNLV used him more as a hitter run support guy than a coverage guy but if he shows he can run well enough to stay with TE's and #4 WR's I'd be awfully tempted to look at him.

We would still have a crap o-line. A D that cant stop the run. weak at the CB position.

This team would still not be all that.

Ya know Russ, thats his only 'weakness'. He actually is very good in coverage but his speed has been questioned. You are right though, he is a hitter and has a nose for the ball. UNLV blitzed him a lot and he took a lot of hits from RB's and tackles and showed he can hold up.

He may be able to play FS but he will really have to impress with those 40 times at the combine. I truly believe he should have come out last year as he was, imo, the best SS outside of Taylor , in last years class. Right now I dont know where Brimmer would fall, but #8 would be too early I think. However if he runs a 4.5 or better in his 40's he may just move up that much!

I dont buy the whole CB thing. I think this team is fine with Macklin, Starks, and Hill. I certainly wouldnt use a #8 pick on one for usre!

As far as the o-line, thats what rounds 3,4 ,5 are for. Draft a guard and keep LJ at right tackle and this line should be solid. Davis, Wells, and Step, are going no where!

We need to upgrade. Starks isnt reliable and Hill still is to slow overall. Not to mention isnt he a FA?

Sorry but I dont see us fixing our O-line prosbs in rounds 3-5.

That still doesnt solve the D-line.

Oh I don't mean first round I think Taylor was one of the rare safeties(Roy Williams too) worth taking that high. 2nd round I would hope Brimmer would still be there.

Pats have had lots of success playing 2 SS's at the same time, so have some other teams. concern is the way they call holding now you almost want 2 FS's instead of 2 SS's so you have cover guys that don't rely on being physical.

I just love the idea of a guy going over the middle having to worry about Wilson AND Brimmer.

We had a FS like that a long time ago and I can't place the name he either played with Leonard Smith or with McDonald.

If we're going to pimp safeties I'm going to go with Peter Sands (mostly because I went to high school with him.) 6'2" and weighs between 220 and 230. Rated as a 4th rounder. Good kid, hard worker.
