Here are some pictures that I took with my camera as the field made its first official appearance inside of Cardinals Stadium! Enjoy!

Wow, just amazing...so...I gotta sneak in and take pics myself...how would one go about doing that? (you know, without the whole "arrested and beaten" thing)

I can see it now. Cardinal Charities auctions rides on the turf into the stadium before each game. How much would you pay?

Pat are you listening?

Best pictures I've seen to date... Absolutely beautiful. Thanks Jim!

Also, these pics raise some climate control questions that I'm not sure have been discussed before. I'm sure that during the summer months, the temperature and humidity levels in the stadium would increase significantly after the field is moved in. Conversely, in the winter months, the temp might drop (depending on what time the field in moved in), but the humidity would still increase. I'm sure the effects could be controlled easier by moving the tray in the night before.

Any info on how long it takes the cooling system to equalize the environment and how this might affect the comfort levels and playing conditions??

Might have a mini green-house effect...

I certainly don't know the full answer to this, but I do remember hearing that the plan is to move the field in on Saturday (before a Sunday game), close the place up and crank the air until gametime the next day.

Yeah, I'm sure that would be sufficient to equalize the temp and humidity.

It's not going to be cheap for early season home games but later in the season it should be pretty reasonable. Nothing like what the D-Backs have to deal with for home games all summer.

In any event, after what we fans have endured for the past 17 years at SDS, I figure they owe us, right?

Definitely a stadium the whole state can be proud of. It took a long time, but it sure looks worth it.
