It’s important to keep in mind Petzing is still learning the job. That’s the risk, but I think fear of failure is restricting his creativity. He needs to just open things up more. Too early to change him. This team was not built to win this year, but they’re overachieving. The fact they’ve been in so many games is surprising. The lack of roster depth means it’s challenging to put up big numbers consistently. Any game could be a blowout. Still they’re at least interesting. Next year with Robinson’s likely recovery it will being like having 2 first rounders. With the available cap money, next year should be the real deal.

It’s bad… the only time I’ve gotten excited of offense all game is when there is a broken down play - it quite literally is the only time there will be a play of 11 yards or more

Does anyone believe this?

I can 100% believe Marvin approached the week with his typical process...

They didn't ask Petzing about routes or play calling, which did seem different for Marv this week. Seemed like there were more routes where he crossed the Center... posts, overs, and drags. Likely influenced by Kyler taking MHJ to the whiteboard and saying "what do you prefer"

We already know the routes were different this week due to the chart. Also K1 asked MHJ what routes he likes to run the best.

I just feel DP goes out of his way to be like "everything was working fine the process just finally worked."

Yea I kinda got that feeling as well.

Bears and Jets will tell us a lot about if the offense turned the corner or not. We cant let them dictate what we do.

I’m out on this dude.

I’ve seen enough and he needs to go. Maybe Kliff can hire him as an OC if he gets a HC job.
I mean this seriously.

Has MHJ been thrown a screen pass this season?

I don't think any better of Petzing than I did against the Jets. He's a mid OC. Some good days, some bad. A guy that's still learning how to call plays.

However, I need to know why its so hard to get WRs in space.

Yea, one problem I have with Petzing, & everybody else here should, is the lack of WR screens.

How many WR screens have we called this season? Like…..1 in the Miami game? Are we waiting until the final stretch?

Hell I know we don’t have the most impressive YAC threats at WR, but throw the defense off just a little bit dude.

Good lord just stop. Sometimes the other guy has a better plan.
This.

Once in a while I wonder how much sports people have played. It's a competition and the other guys are sometimes just better. That doesn't mean you just sucked. Didn't try, or got bad coaching. The opponent deserves credit for wins as much as we deserve credit when we win.

The worst thing in sports, IMO, is lack of effort. I didn't see that from us today.

How many games has Petzing truly outperformed the other team?

Plenty of people have played college and coached high school sports. Petzing also played in college. Doesn’t make the dude cut out to be a coach in the nfl.

He has been below average this season.

I think the one thing we can absolutely question Petzing about is the lack of WR screens.

Hmmm... Not a peep about him the last 4 games... ;)
You know it's not ever Kyler's fault when we lose. Some are still talking about Kingsbury and now Drew. Kyler has been good this year, sometimes great. He gets the credit for that but never the blame. I am a Independent and I try to look at both side's opinions. That's the problem with being an Independent. Most get criticized 50% of the population on their views, I get criticized by both sides based on what I say. Oh well. I own that.

Sure. Fans can question everything. Kliff called WR screens out the wazoo and fans questioned that. Personally, I think Petzing should call the good plays
