Struggling Dallas Cowboys cornerback Morris Claiborne admitted his confidence has taken a hit, attributing many of his issues this season to adjusting to playing primarily zone coverage.

Just a thought, but perhaps the Cards can make a push for him? If Claiborne does not pan out in this new scheme, they could very well decide to part ways and land some draft picks.

Bowles seems to run a very 'man-to-man' heavy scheme, so I think he could fit perfectly here.

Also, playing with his former LSU teammates in the same backfield wouldn't hurt either.

I am hoping the Cards save their draft picks. I think Keim will draft well and needs all the picks we can get. If they were willing to take a 3rd or 4th I would go for it, but this isn't the year to go all in on and trade future picks.

It all depends on cost. Claiborse has failed in Dallas behind Rob Ryan and Monte Kiffin led defenses. If he couldn't handle those schemes I wonder how he could handle Todd Bowles.

I wouldn't exactly say he 'failed' considering he was just a rookie, but I believe he should primarily be a man coverage guy (which is exactly what Bowles likes to do). He could turn out to be a major CB2 for us.

I don't think the Cowboys will ask for anything crazy considering he's riding the bench. Hopefully our FO can be somewhat proactive and land a good deal.

I agree he's a m2m guy, not really suited for the Tampa 2.

The question being is he better than what we already have?

I have no doubt that he is better than Powers and Cason. He is only in year 2 so his ceiling is much higher as well.

Dallas traded up to get the #6 pick to get him.

They are not the Browns or Jags. They arent that dumb to give him up.

and if they did, be sure itd be for a very significant pick

Back in that draft I really liked Stephon Gilmore. Hes turning into a stud too.

If they feel he isn't capable of learning the system, then of course they would. He is no longer the starter as it is, and if he continues to show that he isn't fit for the system then what other choice would they have? We can atleast show some interest.

Powers had a really good game last week. I don't see bringing him in as a back up unless he's willing to take a lot less money.
