GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- Phoenix Coyotes President and COO Douglas Moss, along with Coyotes General Manager Michael Barnett, coach Rick Bowness and color analyst Charlie Simmer visited the Phoenix Children’s Hospital on Wednesday, April 27 to distribute green “Reach the Day” wristbands to children and families impacted by childhood cancer.

The trip is part of a League-wide 2005 Hockey Fights Cancer initiative aligned with CureSearch National Childhood Cancer Foundation and Childhood Cancer Foundation Canada, partner organizations devoted to treating and curing pediatric cancer. “Reach the Day” wristbands were created by CureSearch to provide a symbol of hope to children and their families and to share the dream that a cure for childhood cancer is within reach.

“The Phoenix Coyotes are proud to be support Hockey Fights Cancer, CureSearch National Childhood Cancer Foundation and Childhood Cancer Foundation Canada,” said Moss. “Together, we can work toward finding a cure for cancer and help improve the lives of those in our community.”

The Phoenix Coyotes and Hockey Fights Cancer invite the public to support the “Reach the Day” initiative by purchasing wristbands, which cost $1 each and are available in packs of 10 on www.NHL.com and www.CureSearch.org. Hockey Fights Cancer is a joint initiative of the National Hockey League and NHL Players’ Association dedicated to raising awareness and funds for cancer research and childhood cancer hospitals.
