Movie-A-Day #103: The Lost Boys

Plot Summary: A mother and her two sons move to a small coast town in California. The town is plagued by bikers and some mysterious deaths. The younger boy makes friends with two other boys who claim to be vampire hunters while the older boy is drawn into the gang of bikers by a beautiful girl. The older boy starts sleeping days and staying out all night while the younger boy starts getting into trouble because of his friends' obsession.

One of the best Vampire movies made? Probably. Great acting by a very young Keifer Sutherland as the lead "lost boy". This movie still can make me jump in certain scenes. There are some really good fight scenes and the suspense is pretty well done by Joel Schumacer.

This is one of my favorites (go figure). I love rewatching it for 80's value. Man, did everyone really think they looked good with those haircuts!?! The vampire attack on the cabin in the film's climax stands out as one of my favorite sequences ever. Three words - death by radio.

And this is definitely the finest movie to ever have both Corey Haim and Corey Feldman.
