Mozilla Firefox Help

Something odd happened and I'm not sure what's caused it: I can't add spaces, smileys, or do things like bold or italicize using firefox. Explorer does it fine, but I hate explorer. Any ideas?

I tried uninstalling it, then removing it from my registry, but it didn't seem to care. I'm missing something, as all my bookmarks and settings should disappear, but they don't.

First thing I would try is cleaning your cache.

In Firefox, this is under Tools -> Clear private data. Check cache, and then hit the "Clear private data now" button. Then close and restart firefox.
