Muskogee Public Schools Executive Director of Athletics Jason Parker has resigned, MPS officials announced Monday afternoon.

Parker served six years as MPS athletic director.

During his tenure, Parker helped shape athletic programming and improved athletic facilities. According to a media release, Parker helped develop Rougher Village sports complex, which was funded by a 2019 bond project. He was instrumental in launching Rougher Youth Sports Academy in 2021. He supported revitalizing the Rougher football program, which won the 6A-II State Championship in 2023 and finished as State Runner-Up in 2024.

Parker came to Muskogee after serving four years as director of athletics at Sapulpa Public Schools.

Superintendent Jarod Mendenhall said Parker “has been an important part of our athletic success over the past several years.”

“We appreciate his commitment to our students, coaches, and community, and we wish him the very best moving forward,” Mendenhall said.
