Michigan State football will play host to one of its top linebacker prospects in the 2026 class this weekend.

Jacob Savage of Union, Ky. will head to Michigan State this upcoming weekend for an unofficial visit. Savage posted about the upcoming visit to East Lansing, Mich. on his social media X account earlier this week.

Savage is a three-star linebacker prospect in the 2026 class. He currently holds a rating of 87 on 247Sports.

Savage ranks as the No. 56 linebacker in 247Sports' composite rankings for the 2026 class. He is also listed as the No. 5 player from Kentucky in the class and No. 627 overall prospect in the class.

Michigan State is one of nearly 15 programs to offer Savage, according to 247Sports. He also holds offers from Indiana, Purdue, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Northwestern, Minnesota, Toledo, Ohio, Miami (OH), Eastern Kentucky, Dartmouth, Penn, Charlotte and Akron.

According to 247Sports, Savage has official visits lined up with Michigan State, Indiana and Purdue for May and June. He will be taking his official visit to Michigan State on May 30.
