The Big Ten Hockey championship game is officially set.

The Spartans will host No. 3 seed Ohio State next week in the Big Ten championship game from Munn Ice Arena. Face off between the Spartans and Buckeyes is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, and the game will be televised on the Big Ten Network.

Michigan State put on a defensive showcase in a semifinal victory over Notre Dame on Saturday, winning by the final score of 1-0. The Spartans are heading back to the Big Ten championship game for a second straight season and will look to win the conference tournament title for a second straight year as well.

Ohio State picked up a thrilling overtime victory over Penn State on Saturday to join Michigan State in the title game. It was a back-and-forth battle before the Buckeyes were able to get the game-winning goal late in the first overtime period.

Michigan State won three of the four regular season battles between these two teams. The Spartans took both of the games played at Munn Ice Arena in November.
