Michigan State basketball is officially back in the NCAA Tournament for another year.
The Spartans made it 27 consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances on Sunday, with Michigan State receiving a bid in the 2025 NCAA Tournament. This is the longest active streak of any program in the country.
Michigan State received the No. 2 seed in the South Region and will face No. 15 seed Bryant in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Should the Spartans win their opening round game with the Bulldogs, they'll play the winner of No. 7 seed Marquette and No. 10 seed New Mexico in the second round.
Michigan State will be playing their opening weekend in Cleveland. Their first round game will be on Friday and should they advance to the second round, they'll play on Sunday.
The other highly-rated teams in the Spartans' region are as follows: No. 1 seed Auburn, No. 3 seed Iowa State and No. 4 seed Texas A&M. Michigan (No. 5 seed), Ole Miss (No. 6 seed) and North Carolina (No. 11 seed) are also notable teams in the South Region.
