After a year where she was second on the MSU women's basketball team in scoring and tied for the lead in rebounds per game, Julia Ayrault has accepted a training camp invite from the Phoenix Mercury after going undrafted in the 2025 WNBA draft.

Ayrault has been one of Michigan State's top stars under the Robyn Fralick era, leading the team in scoring in 2023-24. Ayrault earned second-team All-Big Ten honors after helping lead the Spartans to their second straight NCAA Tournament. Ayrault spent five years in East Lansing and is from Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan.

Now, Ayrault will get an opportunity to find a home at the next level, getting a chance with the Mercury, who are owned by prominent MSU alumnus Mat Ishbia.
