Michigan State basketball dominated Bryant in the second half to advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
The Spartans held only a narrow five-point lead over No. 15 seed Bryant going into halftime, but that lead was busted open thanks to a strong performance from Michigan State in the second half. Michigan State won the game by the final score of 87-62.
Michigan State got big outings from a number of players but none were more important than Coen Carr's. He had a career-high 18 points and nine rebounds off the bench to lead the Spartans to victory. Jase Richardson (15 points), Tre Holloman (14 points), Jeremy Fears Jr. (11 points) and Jaden Akins (11 points) also reached double-digits in scoring.
The Spartans will now move to face No. 10 seed New Mexico in the second round on Sunday. The Lobos upset No. 7 seed Marquette in their opening round game on Friday.
