Vegas odds. Like 7th on the list and ahead of Drew Brees and Rodgers. Tied with Brady. Pretty impressive.
Agreed. Not too interested in this metric as it's drawing from the false equivalency that since Lamar was good in year two..... Kyler will be. The two situations are so different.I think he is too high on the list. So are the bookmakers. I would think he would be closer to 25/1.
2015 NFL MVP Cam Newton. Record: 15-1 Combined Yards: 4473 Combined TDs: 45 Combined TOs: 15 QB Rating: 99.4
2016 NFL MVP Matt Ryan. Record: 11-5 Combined Yards: 5111 Combined TDs: 38 Combined TOs: 11 QB Rating: 117.1
2017 NFL MVP Tom Brady Record 13-3 Combined Yards 4605 Combined TDs: 32 Combined TOs: 15 QB Rating: 102.8
2018 NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes. Record: 12-4 Combined Yards: 5369 Combined TDs: 52 Combined TOs: 21 QB Rating: 113.8
2019 NFL MVP Cam Newton. Record: 13-2 Combined Yards: 4333 Combined TDs: 43 Combined TOs: 15 QB Rating: 113.3
Average
Record: 12.8 Yards 4778 TDs 42 TOs: 15.4 QB Rating: 109.3
Kyler Murray
Record 5-10-1 Yards 4266 TDs 24 TOs 17 QB Rating 87.4
So to get to MVP level Murray would have to more than double his wins, add 500 yards 18 TDs and 22 points on his rating.
That seems super unlikely in a single year.

I could see about 5 more passing due to the addition of Dhop, maybe a handful more due to development and potentially a few more rushing TDs. I could certainly see a 10-15 TD jump, but 18 might be a stretch.I believe the 500 more yards is easily doable.
18 TDs is REALLY unlikely. Even if we turned all those red zone FGs to TDS that is only 12.
Everyone of those teams had a vastly superior Oline.2015 NFL MVP Cam Newton. Record: 15-1 Combined Yards: 4473 Combined TDs: 45 Combined TOs: 15 QB Rating: 99.4

I do think there will be improvent in the redzone. I count a least 4 or 5 tds missed last year because of drops/penalties.I could see about 5 more passing due to the addition of Dhop, maybe a handful more due to development and potentially a few more rushing TDs. I could certainly see a 10-15 TD jump, but 18 might be a stretch.
I think Dak has a legit shot primarily because of his Oline and weapons. He did throw for 4900 yards, run for 277 and had 33 total TDs. Now he's got a better coach and Ceedee Lamb. I dont think Dak is great, but he could have a great year and the numbers to get MVP hype if they go 12-4.While I think he will be better, I really doubt he is going to be in the running for MVP. That would mean the team is 12-4 or better.
But Dak at 9-1 seems like a worse bet. He just isn't that good.
Kyler with the same odds as Brady doesn't seem right either, the media will be bending backwards to award it to Brady if he even puts up halfway good numbers.
Drew Brees seems like he has a better chance than kyler to me also.
