When the Cards have to ball:
rushing:even,Carolina can be run on but that's not the Cards forte
passing:big edge for the Cardinals. Nobody, other than mother nature, has slowed down this passing offense.Warner may go for 400+ and 3-4 TD's.
When Carolina has the ball:
rushing: big edge to Carolina. Williams has ran on everyone this year. Stewart wold probably be starting on most teams. The Cards shut down Turner. They may slow Carolina but they will move the ball on the ground.
passing:slight edge Cardinals. Delhomme doesn't scare me one bit. DRC on Smith is the X factor.I think Smith is contained. Hood can cover Muhammad.
special teams: edge to Carolina. If it comes down to a game winning FG, i would much rather have Kasay kicking instead of Rackers. The Cardinals special teams coverage has been iffy all year but was great last week.
coaching:even. Both are very good coaches. I think Whiz is more likely to take chances than Fox,which is a good thing. I look at Monday's Fiesta Bowl. Both good coaches but one played to win, took chances and won(Brown). One played super conservative, not to lose, and lost(Tressel). I think that could be the difference in this game as well.
intangibles:even. The Cards are playing with a chip on their shoulder because of all the bashing while Carolina is at home.
prediction: Cardinals win 34-30 on a late score. Carolina has had the Cards number in the past and always seems to be something flukey that happens their way. The Cards get the breaks this time.
