Yea I know that its early to do this but its Sat Night and nothing to do.

1. Haloti Nagata DT - Massive DT will command the double team and let Dockett and crew get at the QB. We have been missing for a long time.

2. Jeremy Trueblood OT - Big mean and nasty tackle who would be a great fit at RT.

3. Nate Salley FS - Tall rangy and has the speed to be our Free Safety next to Wilson.

4. Mike Bell RB - Was sick and now just getting back to full strength. He is a north-south runner but has great vision and will complement J.J.

5. Matt Lentz OG - Big Mean and Nasty OG who is a very good run blocker.

6. Jay McCareins CB - Tall and has speed. Will make a great back-up or furture starter. Also is a great returner.

7. Best Player Available.

I'll give it a C+. Why? Because the Shogun feels like it, that's why. I liked the first two picks, but after that....meh.

Cards wont me a top 10 pick. If we win tomorrow and the Philly game we should be picking around 12-15 pick.

nothing sounds better than a team with no way to make the playoffs ruining their chances at drafting some real talent....

They didnt show up and play when it counted early in the season why do it now?

ALL I remember is sitting in the End zone with seahawk fans all around screaming for shaun alexander... we looked like a high school team that day...

pick a qb(there like 3 really good ones this draft)or AJ HAWK MLB... and 2nd round take either lendale white or dale robinson if they took a qb 1st rd. and I will buy season tickets for the family

Is Warner now our QB of the future? With Navarre to back up his injury prone self. Then we get the BQBA in the 7th to back him up. Oh, what a pleasent year were in for. Hey maybe Chang will come back.

We need a QB, there is no way around it.

Had we a QB already I would love your draft.

That would be a pretty good draft, but we NEED a QB.

i used to be on board for the ngata pick, he is a great talent that also fills a big need, but the more i think about it the less i like the pick. we have three playmakers in our front four, we dont need another playmaker, just a massive body to stuff the run, take on a double team and let the playmakers make plays. if you ask me a top 10 (or so) pick sould be used on a playmaker (i.e. lb hawk). a fa like kemoaetu from baltimore would fit the bill perfectly and he wouldnt cost nearly as much as tripplett or c.simon and is the exact type of player we need up front to free up the others. this would open up so many other options for the #1 pick.

Swap 1st rounders with the Chargers for Philip Rivers and draft Rodrique Wright in the bottom of the 1st instead of Ngata.

Can't argue with the positions. Not yet convinced on Nagata. As much as I want an offensive lineman in round one, I couldn't quarrel with Ohio State's A.J. Hawk with our first-rounder if he is truly a three-down linebacker.

Our needs:
OL (1 guard, 1 tackle)
NT
MLB
FS
QBOTF (not in first two rounds)
KR/PR
power RB

Signing a huge NT would be a philosophy shift for Clancy and the D. We cut every big body we had and didn't even give Pat Williams a sniff last year in free agency. Maybe that's the direction they'll decide to go, but you'd better not hold your breath.

Personally, I don't think Ngata is any better than Igor Olshansky. I think he'd be a major reach for the area we will draft in.

Getting Lendale White in the 2nd round has about the same probability of us getting Reggie Bush with the 10th pick. Not going to happen. I really llike the idea of swapping picks with the Chargers in exchange for Rivers. That gives us our QBOF and we can also get immediate help at another position, prob either OL or DL. In the second round, address one of the needs which we didn't in Round 1 (either OL or DL) then in the 3rd round pick Dale Robinson. I didn't predict any players cause its too early.

Top 3 picks, in addition of Rivers, could look like:

1) Orien Harris, Gabe Watson or Rodrique Wright DL
2) Trueblood OL
3) Dale Robinson MLB

Not Bad, not bad at all. But you are crazy if you think lentz can be had in the 5th round. 1st day pick without a doubt IMO. We might be able to get Salley in the 3rd he should be a second rounder but there are a lot of 2nd and 3rd round FS prospects so he may still me their.

AJ already brought it up but I think it deserves repeating, Unless Pendy or Green change their mind on the slant NT we will never bring in a big fatty to play that spot. Bigger yes without a doubt but not for the sack of agility. I highly doubt a guy like Kemo of the Ravens will ever get a look.

If Young is available when we pick take him. This guy would be the top pick in next years draft so why not get him now. As for DT why not get someone like Gerard Warren. He would be cheap and is a big body that would occupy space. Sign Jeff Backus and move Ross to RG, sign Bentley and put Brown at LG. Sign Will Allen to play opposite Rolle and draft Vernon Davis in the second round. With our third rounder get Nate Salley or Pat Watkins. The rest of the draft go for OL and DL depth or maybe a return specialist.

Well its all fun. Really nobody cannot say who we go after until the Free Agency starts. It depends who we get and let go. Lets hope the Cards do fill a couple of needs with quality players vice bodies. (Fingers corssed).

Somewhat agree, his sheer size makes him take up more space than Olshansky but my point is look at all the 1000 yard rushers in the Pac 10 and tell me the answer to our run stuffing problems is in the pac 10. Oshinowo makes nearly as many plays and will cost a lot less, and the good thing about him is he plays hard on every down, Ngata doesn't.

Much rather take an impact player in round 1 and a kid like Oshinowo in round 2 than burn a high pick on Ngata and wait for him to figure out how much more intense he has to be in the NFL, something he still hasnt' figured out in college.

I like this scenario rather than giving up the house to go get Bush. I bet San Diego would want more than that however. Hope I am wrong
