My first live pro game was Eagles-Giants in 1973 (Giants final home game at Yankee Stadium), which ended in a tie (‘73 was the final year before regular season OT was implemented). First live Cards game was a 37-0 pasting by the Broncos in 1989 at SDS. It was love at first steamrolling....

Ah, the beginning of the Timm Rosenbach era. Me and my brothers went to the Cards/Eagles game. My brother bought the tickets. We sat 2 rows from the very top of old Veterans Stadium. Tickets were $10 a piece. We had a blast. And there I was, all 13 years old of my wearing my Cardinals winter coat even though it was still October cheering them on. I'll never forget it.

NJ...I’d forgotten about Rosenbach playing that day, but yes, he did see action v. Denver. I recall being excited about the possibilities of his being the Cards QBOTF. Great Cards/Eagles story!

My first was actually the first "Super Bowl", wasn't called that then, in Los Angeles. I climbed over the barbed wire fence, like I always did to see a game. The USC/UCLA games were my favorite to sneak into. I was liked 14 or 15 back then.

My first “pro” game was Az Wranglers -vs- LA Express. I think it was Alan Risher -vs- Steve Young. My Dad and my 2 young sons had a blast even though we fried that day at SDS. First in person Cards game was them against SF. The game they put Young out.

If it was 1983 then the QB matchup would have been Tom Ramsey/Mike Rae vs Alan Risher. 1984 would have been Young vs Landry(AZ Outlaws). 1985 would have been Young vs Doug Williams. As you can see I'm kind of an USFL geek.

It was 1983 for sure. Pretty sure it was Risher who was QB, think he had won the job as a rookie. But, a few brain cells have died since then :)

I was so curious I had to Google to see if I was crazy. And, I think I definitely was LOL

My first "pro" game was the Wranglers vs the Stars. Risher was the QB that day.

The LA Express game with Steve Young was in 1984 (he wasn't in the league in 1983). I believe Greg Landry was QB on that day.

Anyway, those were my only USFL live games. But, I loved watching the USFL and have always wished they could have made it. It was a fun time.

Anyway, on to the present and the Cards :)

Cards ended a 12 game losing streak with this win. Had lost 8 in a row to start the season and finished 6-10.
The most important thing about this game is that it happened on my 13th birthday.:bday:
