Hello,

Here is a link to the pictures I took today at the game. A personal thanks to Justin (MDCardsfan) and Vince (PACardsfan) for their hospitality (And ice cold beer :D). I had a great time talking Cards football face to face. Living in Harrisburg, I really don't get that opportunity very often.

About the game:

I feel we missed some golden opportunities to win this game. I also feel the call at the end of the game was the exact kind of break we need to MAKE when we go on the road. Adrian CLEARLY turned his shoulder into Heap but the back judge made a game altering decision. I had the perfect view of the play and so did the judge. He clearly blew it.

Still even with that penalty, it should have never come down to that play. I seem to be saying this about Rackers more and more. You can't be an NFL kicker if your hitting 75% of your kicks. That missed FG came back to haunt us on that last drive.

Throwing the fade to BJ on 3rd and 5 was a horrible decision. We should have done one of two things on that play, throw it to Q or run the pig up the gut and take some time off the clock. I told my boy John that they are going to screw up and leave WAY too much time on the clock. This, coupled with more of the same Vanilla coverage to start the Ravens final drive. It was eerily similar to week one. With Boller in the game, we should have tried to rip his throat out. Instead we allowed him to wait for a player to come open. This is now 2 out of three games we tried to "protect" a three point lead and failed.

Fitz's fumble was AT THE LEAST a 6 point swing in the game. And to be clear..... He looked lost at time on the filed today. I was really surprised how listless he was. He needs to find his passion soon. Otherwise I might jump on Justin's bandwagon and want him traded for value elsewhere.

Some quick takes:

Sorry Shogun.... Anquan Boldin is a freaking football god. Fitz has zero on this man after today in my opinion.

Why in the world does everyone convert on 3rd down against us??? I for the life of me cant understand why.

Kurt Warner turned the vaunted Ravens Defense into a quivering mass of overpaid losers. WOW was that impressive.

Matt Leinart looks to me like he has his head in the clouds. Maybe it's his kid, or maybe a demanding social life. Whatever it is, he needs to become a professional and fix it. Seeing it live was almost embarrassing. I couldn't believe Whiz brought him back in after Warner led them right down the field.

The Punt Return was demoralizing. Why can't Breaston do that?

Although we lost, I was really impressed with the way the Cards came out in the 2nd half. We have to be proud of that on some level. Whiz probably tore them up in the locker room.

I walked out of M&T Bank Stadium proud of our boys. And even though there were some crappy Ravens fans, in the end, they all knew they got out VERY lucky today. We should all be very proud of that 2nd half performance.

Great write-up and pics.

- I think Fitz will be OK. He's a winner, wants the ball... who can blame him? The fumble was a fluke thing that cost us. What else is new?

- If AW gets called for that, then where in the hell is the flag on Ray Lewis? The inconsistency is what bothers me most. AW was clearly trying to separate the ball from Heap. Can't blame AW one bit for playing hard.

- If Leinert can't deliver the goods to Q and Boldin... what good is he? The difference in delivery between Warner and Leinert was astonishing, and at the same time worrisome. I don't think Matt will EVER develop what Warner showed today. I hope I'm proven wrong.

- Agree on the the 3rd down pass to BJ. Dump the ball to Q, and get out of the way. Convert, and we're going to OT or winning in regulation.

- Next weeks game will define the season.

Did you happen to see Bert Berry while you were there? I've been wondering what happened to him.

Used to be a pro-bowl DE for the Cardinals.

First off great pix. That is so cool to see KOC tats 2500 miles away from Cards town.

Second, I am not ready at all to throw Rackers under the bus. Yes if he was a 75% kicker from 30 yard field goals, that is a problem. But his misses this year have been from 45 yards plus. With a brand new holder. He kicked the winning field goal under clutch conditions last week and made they tying field goal from 40+ today.

More importantly he is consistently putting the ball in the endzone in kickoffs. This is huge for the field position game when the opponent cannot return a kick. Do you want Bill Grammatica back? He never hit the endzone on kickoffs.

And did you see his touchdown saving tackle? He flew to the returner and made the tackle. We have an 11-man special teams defense on kickoffs. He is a football player.

There is only 1 Adam Vinatieri. Who else would you want instead?

agreed! posted something similar earlier. he has to have the longest attempt average of anyone over the last 3 years. 7 of 9 attempts this season are 40+ and he has come through in the clutch both times. if you know football, you know the importance of touchbacks also. i would love perfection but see nothing to complain about with rackers.

Because we really have poor return coverages... That's why I'm scared for a punt or KO returned for a TD or at least a huge gain every Sunday.
