My initial thoughts of this board

Go back to YOUR response of how amazed you were that anyone would dare question the almight "Joe's" quote about the salary cap. It would be in yours and the board's best interest to embrace new comments. Unfortunately your misplaced pride does not allow you to do this. Wh don't you just have the moderator ban all posters who disagree with you. Then you won't have to deal with opposing views

look, i, for one, don't like a lot of the animosity on this board (i know that comes as a HUGE surprise to most of you . . . and i recognize that i can be a rabble rouser), but questioning each other's thoughts and knowledge is what a message board is all about. we will all eat a heaping helping of crow if and when we're wrong, but don't come walking in here and high and mighty telling us what we can and cannot do. your righteous indignation doesn't play well.

that said, i haven't read anything else you've posted, nor have i read any of the responses. i will say this, donald is not one of the problem makers around here. your attacking him is asinine to those of us that have gotten to know one and other on the board over the years. you wanna take a pot shot at me? by all means, that's likely warranted. but not donald. never donald. unless it's due to his laker fandom. just have a bit thicker skin. we mostly bust each other chops around here, but heated debate does arise. and when we lose, it's no holds barred . . . people need to vent.

The POINT is, it was funny that you quoted a guy on the board who is well versed in the cap, and break out with some bargain bin comments about money in the NFL, shows that you do NOT know your audience.

It's like walking into a party full of Wall Street analysts, standing on a soapbox and yelling out "Guys, it's all about buying low and selling high!"


I love opposing views. I don't like arrogant newbies with a "senior posters don't respect me" complex.

Look at the Redskins fan on the board this week...wonder why he's getting welcomed with open arms? And guess who one of the first people saying he was great to have on the board was...that's right, me. Mr. Arrogant Sr. Poster who hates newbies and wants them all banned. Again, know your audience.

kind of think of this of this board as Star Wars. Donald is that Hans Solo type who might come across sometimes a little negative but his Cardinal heart is in the right place. Cheesbeef is a die hard Cardinal fan but gets really negative because the Cardinals have busted more than one bubble of their fans over the years and therefore he can be seen a little like Darth Vader on the Dark Side. I guess, I'm kind of like one of those foolish pilots on the rebel side flying right into the Deathstar with a Koolaid logo on my jet, oblivious to defeats after years of losing with a stupid Cardinal smile on my face.

This really is spot on....Hans Solo, self absorbed, narsisistic, self promoter,...definitly the Donald, and anyone that has to self impose a sabbatical from this Board (Cheesebeef) because it disturbed there che is really wound to tight or they lost a bet to there sibling. I just think it is unfortunate that there are several that have always jumped in with there opposing opinions as though it was carpe diem on every other post put forth. Some how there opinions mean more than any others....of course they do...to them...just not so much to the rest. I have been here as long as anyone and check out the board daily for the most part and yet I do not always interject my opinion because quite frankly it would not be viewed as PC. Hence I have a lower post count...and I am fine with that.

i honestly don't get the attention paid to post count. i was shocked to see today that i'm in the 7000's. but the only reason i even looked was b/c of this thread.

The point is that there is often no right or wrong. There are just points of view. Just because I don't have 12 hours a day to post on a message board, doesn't mean I don't know the game. I've been following this game longer that most "senior" posters have been alive
