Open the Roof!
1. Michael Vick likes to throw. A lot. In 2 games, he's thrown for 688 yards, three TD's, and six Int's. He seems to make most his mistakes down the middle of the field (cough, A-Dub, cough).
2. New Center. The Eagle's starting Center, Jason Kelce went on IR and his replacement, rookie Dallas Reynolds will be making his first start. Crowd noise will really need to make his life difficult. Audience participation is mandatory for this game, folks.
3. Special Teams. The Eagles aren't very good on special teams. According to Sando, the Cardinals have the 5th best special teams unit while the Eagles unit is ranked 31st. Surely the Eagles will keep the ball away from Patrick Peterson, but that doesn't mean our blockers won't be out in full force.
4. Larry, Larry, Larry. I'm calling it. This week, Fitz becomes the youngest player ever to 700 catches. He won't have another one-catch performance this week. Last year, he lit up the Eagles to seize the franchise record for TD's.
5. Come Full Circle. Kevin Kolb was supposed to face the Eagles last year. Then he went down and Skelton engineered the upset. A QB controversy was born that lives on to this day. This year, the roles are reversed and Kolb has a chance to face his old team. He'll be facing down a punishing defense. If he can continue to make strides and minimize mistakes, the Cardinals will have a chance. If he gets happy feet, this one won't even be close.
