My Power Rankings...

Here are my power rankings after the Draft, ESPN did one and so did I. I still have to do spots 22-32 but when I do that one I'll post the link here also. Let me know what you guys agree with and disagree with and what you're rankings are, I'm interested to hear them.

I'd say the Browns and Seahawks are a bit high, but not too bad. I like it better then the one ESPN did.

Really? I'm not saying the Seahawks are a "dominant" team or anything but did the Cardinals take some quantum leap this offseason in most people's minds? If you ask me, the NFC West stayed pretty much status quo this offseason. I didn't see anybody (Seahawks included) take it to the "next level" with their offseason signings.

Was this just homerism or is there true belief that the Cardinals did someting "special" in the offseason? Did they pick up even one guy that makes the team vastly better this year? Honest question.

It's a fair question but I honestly feel the Cards are in the middle of the pack among the NFL right now, they could've won 10 games this season had they not blown it twice against San Fran, they beat very good teams this past season, Seattle at home, Pittsburgh at home. They are a solid team, they just don't know how to win important games yet, its the curse the Cards have... its been like this forever

Their biggest additions in the off season was getting everyone healthy again. The West should still be a two horse race but if the Cards can stay healthy, the two teams should be very close (at least in my mind).

They got rid of Holt! That alone makes the off-season a screaming success!!

Seriously, I think the cause for optimism is that the Cardinals were better than normal the past season, and they didn't implode over the off-season.

Addtionally, the second year under Whiz, and a competent coaching staff should reasonably be better than the first. Also unlike past years, when FA losses were damaging, this season the Cardinals should not see any drop off in production in OLB, Okeafor, was ahead of Pace until his injury, or WR, where Doucet and Breaston will compensate for the loss of Bryant Johnson.

So, the Cardinals had no losses in FA that are not adequately covered, strengthened the depth of the team defensively, maintained the same starting OL for the first time in years, picked up a needed CB in the draft, and kept intact what is the best coaching staff the Cardinals have had in Arizona, perhaps ever! What's not to like?

Haven't the Titans made the playoffs 2 years running? They added Alge Crumpler and didn't really lose anyone. They're not a pretty team (except on defense), but it's not like losing Travis LaBoy is going to keep them out of the playoffs.

Hard to put the Giants at #1 if they don't know if Strahan is coming back along with their other offseason defections. But I understand why you'd do it.

Did the Browns get fat off a soft schedule last season? They played possibly the three easiest divisions in the NFL last season in the AFC North (Terrible Cincy, down Pittsburgh and terrible Baltimore), as well as the NFC West and the AFC East. Who did they beat that was good last season? They lost to a terrible Oakland team. I think the Cleveland Browns are the 2008 version of the 2007 New York Jets. They have a much harder row to hoe this year against the AFC South (toughest division in the NFL, top to bottom) and the NFC East.

Similarly with Tampa, who was in a crappy division that someone had to win. Maybe they'll come back healthier, but that defense is getting mighty old.

I think the Saints are extremely underrated at 17. They have maybe the best QB in the NFC and their defense added more playmakers than any other. Jonathan Vilma may be the best MLB in the NFC right now.

It's actually hard to argue some of these middle teams. Is there that big a difference between Buffalo at 21 or 15? I think that the Bills are better than the Packers, and the Texans might be better than the Broncos. I think the Panthers may rebound and win the NFC South (I think I remember that no team has repeated as NFC South Champs for like 10 years).

The Dolphins did draft a quarterback. His name was Chad Henne.

I suppose since they were the only team to win their last playoff game the Giants deserve to start at number one, but how long will that last? They may end up at #3 - in their division. Not sure about the Colts at #6 or Bucs at #10, but that's why they play (and we watch) the games . . .
