In a van...down by the river.
I'm drafting for AZ in a community mock again this year. So far i've drafted Ridley(1st) and Orlando Brown(2nd).

Didn't like the OLine talent value at #15 so Ridley was my guy there. I felt like Brown was good value and need in the 2nd rd.

My first choice at #15 would be WR Ridley, if not avaialbe I would go with OT McGlinchey. Get a qb on round 2.

I'd have 0 issue with him as the pick. But the V. Vea fans will be up in arms.
I would...it's a double whammy our team never gets right:

1) A 1st rd OL pick.
2) A high draft pick from Norte Dame.

I would not like it...

I see you put some work into this. Nice job.

were it to play out in that fashion it would be an absolute sin to pick an RT over Vita Vea,...especially considering our defensive minded head coach does not have any massive run stuffers for the middle... just cant see passing up on Vea for a right tackle...and make no mistake, McGlinchey is a right tackle in the NFL.
I wouldnt hate the pick mind you...but in that scenario I think Vea is just too good to pass up

I wasn’t an Orlando Brown fan before the combine and his laziness that he showed walking into the combine out of shape took him off my board. 14 reps from an offensive lineman when theirs WRs under 200 pounds doing more is a red flag

I certainly don`t want a WR in Round 1. I think Cards have to protect Bradford and either McGlinchey or Connor Williams as Tackle. If not that scenario then the Dline is very thin and either Vita Vea for inside or Taven Bryan to get after the passer.I think Cards can get a very solid CB in RD2 or 3 to start across from PP.

At the very least SK can notch another year w/o addressing the CB2 position. I definitely want a CB in the first, but other than Ward, who won't be available, I don't know who is the next best.

I think McGlinchey is a solid pass blocker that can come in and start day one on the right or left side.

In my opinion, there is more depth to be had in later rounds at the CB and WR position. In the second players such as WR Christian Kirk, WR Anthony miller, CB Mike Hughes, CB Carlton David, and so on could be just as impactful day one as Calvin Ridley or Jaire Alexander. Whereas at the tackle position, which I feel is a need with Hump and Smith’s health in question, Orlando Brown and Ochumwa Okorafor I see more as projects than impacts.
That's how I see it. Don't think they'll go OT this high. But I'd be on board with it after last years debacle.

Its a pretty deep class for CBs. Most are pretty equal. I think we could get a good one in Round 2.

How good is Davis out of Auburn? Haven't heard too much about him. Is he a drop off from Oliver playing in the SEC?

He looks like he could be what Wilks may be looking for at the position. A press corner. Going to a base 4-3 makes me wonder however.

Overview
Davis' combination of height, weight, length and ball skills make him a nuisance that college wide receivers could do without on Saturdays. Davis has some struggles mirroring routes in space and is best as a full-time press corner who is able to use his length and strength to take wideouts out of their game. Davis plays with confidence and some edge and was able to show and prove against NFL-caliber talent over the last three years. In the right scheme, he could become an impact player. ~ nfl.com

Vea over Payne all day long for me. Vita makes plays all over the field and he even plays special teams. amazing athlete for a guy his size

I agree, and if Vea somehow was still available I would expect the Cardinals to take him, especially with the history Wilks and Holcomb comes from in Carolina.

Is he hurt all the time like Knight? Tom Knight when healthy would have been a serviceable #2 CB but unfortunately he was never freaking healthy.

I like McGlinchey for the Cards. We would have book end tackles with Humphrey at LT and MG at RT.

"Notre Dame will even tell you that McGlinchey is better on the right side than the left side. He's just more comfortable and consistent there so that's probably where you play him. I think everyone tries to beat him up too much. He's going to play in our league and be a decent starter." - -AFC team personnel executive

I would be okay with McGlinchey or any of the following: Josh Jackson, Christian Kirk, Lamar Jackson. I like Lamar Jackson because I believe he is one of the most electrifying players in the draft. He provides instant star appeal and has the mobility and ability to avoid the rush that we have lacked for some time.

McGlinchey would give ARZ young bookends to build OL around, I was thinking Jemarco Jones in Round 2 or 3 but McGlinchey is arguably the best OT in this draft.

ARZ needs a QB, CB, WR, OT & OC in this draft. You can add MLB & DT to that and maybe a TE so the more picks the better, Keim just needs to hit on them.

This is how I’m hoping the draft plays out but we trade up to get Baker Mayfield. If Mayfield is taken in the top six picks then McGlinchey makes sense. We need an OT badly and he can start day one if we need him to. Good work on your draft.
