They don't understand that I'm into the Cardinals and am putting the Rams on the back burner. They all keep saying that when the Rams win the Super Bowl, don't come running back to the bandwagon and try and jump on.
And what's even a bit stranger is that more than a few of my new co-workers here in Phoenix chide me for abandoning the Rams for the Cardinals. The general tone is "Why follow a loser when you've got the Rams"? They don't seem to accept the fact that you can give up on a winner for the Cards.
And nobody seems to accept the concept of just being a fan of NFL football without being a fan of any team, especially when you live in an NFL city.
