The player who would seem to be more of a slam dunk for the Cardinals is LB Haason Reddick of Temple. Not only can he play all 4 LB positions on the defense, he is the best pass rushing LB in the draft. Plus, as a former CB, he has very good cover skills. He's bigger and faster than Reuben Foster and much more versatile than Jarrad Davis.

Nice player but not sure he has the size to hold up on the edges, we already have Golden and Jones (no starting role open), and he is a total projection inside (no real experience there).

Reddick is being looked at as an ILB prospect. His rush skills would improve our d dramatically.

100% dead No on Foster.

Not only did he prove himself incapable of being a professional on the most important day of his life, but he also seems like a dummy. Ive been watching lots of his interviews. I dont think he can learn NFL concepts.

Ive actually warmed up to the idea of Howard, but only if we use him as a WR the way the Saints did with Jimmy Graham. If we use him as a TE, then he will be wasted.

#1 - Malik Hooker

#2 - Reuben Foster

#3 - Mike Williams/Corey Davis

I should say that is IF the Cardinals do not go QB in the first, if they do, that is something I really cannot argue with. I prefer Mahomes as the QB, but the Cardinals will have to make a decision between what is available.

His school is also in Eastern PA (BA's stomping ground) - no doubt BA and SK have access to good inside intel on Reddick, the Villanova DL, Jerome and other PA prospects - it looks to be a banner year for those dudes.

Reddick is the pride of Camden, Jeff!

Facts on Foster.

1-He has great production out of Alabama. Leader on defense. Has the athletic ability to play all 3 downs in the NFL.

2-He dropped weight this year to better be able to defend the spread offenses and teams targeting him in coverage situations. Seems smart to me.

3-Concussion issues are old news, and were due to a technique issue. That has been corrected.

4-Combine issues were overblown. The time it takes for the medical checks is a known issue, and not all staff are helpful. After the story was told, NFL people don't have an issue. If you had millions of dollars on the line, you may not be very patient with people who can impact your ability to collect it, and won't communicate with you with what is going on.

5-More athletic than Keuchly but not as instinctive. Best ILB prospect since Keuchly to come out.

They are always an issue, especially at that position.

ILB's are taken in that range with no issues whatsoever.

There are a couple others worth drafting as well, But next season it would help this team to add Foster. I am hesitant though, longer term. I'd rather have one with less issues. He could be somewhat volatile. That is not great leadership.

Check ****'s Pro Day forty time, take a big sigh of relief and then cross him off your list.

(Assuming, of course, he was running in two feet of snow).

At one point I thought Thomas would fall to us but that isn't happening. I also highly doubt Foster is there.

Hooker would be on the top of my list but he isn't falling to us either.

Reddick would be my first choice. He has enough position flexibility that he will get plenty of playing time.

2nd favorite option is trading down. Get more picks in a very deep draft.

That matters less to me than the tape he's put up for his entire college career. The kid has Game and his 40 time will be the only reason he drops to the second..... I'm all in on him if he's there.

I get liking Reddick, but I can't understand the argument that he is a better prospect than Foster.

If Foster checks out medically (concussions/shoulder surgery), he's an alpha ILB who could take the defense to another level.

The question I have is -- if we draft Foster at #13, does he sit behind Karlos Dansby for 10 weeks of the season the way David Johnson sat behind Chris Johnson? Or -- do the Cardinals recognize that Foster is a starter from day one?

As for Howard, I too an enamored with the talent and his character. As I've said before, one could make the case that he could take over Fitz's slot/flex H-Back role. Neither Corey Davis nor Mike Williams are suited for that role as well as Howard is.

Isnt Foster capable of playing all over the field the same as Dansby?

Foster is a three down LB. The difference between him and Dansby as a prospect is that Foster is a more forceful player. He hits really hard and is very aggressive.

Visuaiize this:

Foster starts for the Cards as a rookie. Midway thru the season, he gets cold-cocked by a pulling guard. After he gets loaded onto the gurney, he gets into a physical altercation with one of the medics (who wouldn't let him wave)...
