The grass isn’t always greener, but don’t tell former Pittsburgh Steelers RB Najee Harris that. While LB Elandon Roberts praised the Steel City after joining the Raiders, Harris has continued to take a much different tone when reflecting on his time in Pittsburgh.
While sitting down with Chris Hayre of KCAL News, Harris was given the floor to reflect on his time in Pittsburgh, and this is what the four-time, thousand-yard RB had to say:
"I don't want to go into detail with it, but I feel like there was a lot of stuff in my game where I could have elevated more, and I could have done more."
He then stated that when he learned how to elevate his game, the situation wasn't right—blaming it on the loss of Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers' poor offensive line play.
Harris also claimed that everything he learned about the NFL came from firsthand experience in the league, not from anything he learned from the Steelers organization, as he felt the team lacked true veterans on offense.
His final comments on the Pittsburgh Steelers were unnecessarily vague, especially after he had just finished trashing his four years with the team:
"It was interesting years there. I'll just say that. Interesting years."
