Vernon Gholston (Classic OSU guy who has all the tools but his heart just isn't in it.)

Jonathan Stewart (Isn't durable enough to run iside. Doesn't have the speed to get to the outside)

I'm interested to know why so many have ear marked Talib as a bust.

I saw him play live at the Orange Bowl and the guy is freaking and abslute playmaker and he has good wheels. I would not be disappointed at all if he dropped to us. Things I'm hearing and how they make break.

McKelvin #1
Felix Jones #2 (don't discount this happening - he didn't run like many expected and while nearly every draft has him going to the Cowboys I think they are going to go balls out for McFadden)

I also think Stewart is a strong possibility at #2. I don't see Seattle drafting a RB now and he was the most likely fit. Houston picks after us in the 2nd round correct?

I am worried about his durability (and the toe doesn't help) but he would be a steal in the second.

Ok I am waay OT. Just thought I would bring it up.

Who cares?? I am not big on first round CBs, but I would be content with this scenario. Jones or Stewart would be great in the second IMO.

Matt Ryan and Dan Connor

Ryan is to erratic and Connor is to small and gets bulldozed by anyone his size.

Those are two I think will make an immediate impact? Different strokes for different folks. Kipper has McFadden as the best player in the draft. Stewart looks good to me. Why would McFadden be a bust? Good runners are more easily picked than most positions. QB's are tough as are DB's.

There are a couple of immediate issues...

Stewart - I hate RB's that play in Spread offenses. Something about them screams soft. And I really didn't like what I saw from him during the season. Sure his stats were fine, but I felt he was a benefactor of Dixon's monster ability from the qb position. That plus the spread offense gives me pause. I think the spread offense is this generation's option.

McFadden - THis one I am torn on. On one hand he looked so dynamic in college. But I think the comparisons to AP are way too generous for him. When hit, on most occasions he seemed to fall limp like a noodle rather than lay it on the opposition. Also, I saw (many times) him get caught from behind, or huge gaps between him and the chasing defender close drastically as he ran to the end-zone.

In Short, I think both will be found to be very soft at the next level.

Personally, I think someone is gonna get more bang for their buck from Felix Jones in the late first/early second than the team who takes McFadden in the top 5.

I live somewhere
mcfadden and dorsey....

let me explain, I dont think dorsey's body will be able to hold up for the long haul. I wish him the best and love to watch him play, im just going with my gut here. McFadden reminds me alot of bush where he will be a solid back, but not a top 5 pick. If he somehow drops in the draft which i dont think he will then consider this opinion recanted

Yes, No Football Instincts. JJ is a prime example of what happens when a track guy plays football in the NFL.

Bob Hayes and O.J. would say differently also Rod Woodson. Hayes was once the fastest man in the world. O.J. ran tract at USC and was on the relay team that set a world record for the 4 x 100 relay. Rod was a world class hurdler. Gee Two Hall of fameres and one to become one soon.

Not to sound like a dick but I don't care what Hayes or OJ and Woodson did in track...They were football players first and track second. They had the instincts to go along with their speed which made them great. I don't know if I remember right but didn't JJ run track to? and if so why isn't he producing like he should? It's just that when I watch Chris Johnson and Jamal Charles they look like track people to me and are just getting by on their speed. As I pointed out in another forum that while Chris Johnson has a great 40 time it didn't translate well against teams outside C-USA. Here are some examples he had a 2.9 ypc against V-Tech, 2.3 against UNC but he had 154 total yards but he has a 78 yard catch and if you take that away he only had 76 total yards that game, and they only game he had a good average against a team outside C-USA was West Virgina with a 5.4 ypc. I know he had a great bowl game against Boise State but that still didn't impress me because it was against a WAC Conference team which just seemed out of it and slow. And if we need him then why do we need him? We already have a change of pace back in JJ who already does those things but a little slower. If we were to draft a RB it would have to be someone who can be on the field all 3 downs, not just on 3rd down.
