nice win against very hot gs team!

how come people never take into account the opposing team's injuries but always use it as a crutch for us?

it was a win and I'll take any win at this point, but this win only exposed our defensive weakness. we just played a team without their best player and barely won - hardly something to beat your chest about.

cheese you always the voice of negativity....whatever we won against a team shooting lights out. And by the way their best play would not have sniffed what ellis stepped up and did tonight!

uh, doesn't EVERY teram do that to us? and it's the voice of REALITY. It was a win and any win right now is a good one, but again, pounding your chest about it seems silly. It's like Cardinal fans getting excited about beating the Lions yesterday.

win a couple more, maybe actually put a team away or p[lay some defense and then maybe I'll get excited. Right now, I'm still leery of how this team plays and for good reason.

whatever cheese your negative even when they were playing well last season. And we are still trying to mix alot of lineups and players not gonna be perfect for awhile give it some time for them to gel.

oh, was I? That's funny that you could read my mind because I NEVER POSTED ONE THING ON THE BOARD UNTIL THE PLAYOFFS LAST YEAR. But yeah, good call there.

Well we should have won against the team playing the best in the league two nights ago, so i'm not gonna sit here and say we're so pathetic, and we need to beat gs w/o there best player just to get a win (not that you necessarily said that).

But I agree with you on the bigger point, I stressed this after the utah game. We won't win a damn thing playing this way. When you rely soley on this video game style of b-ball when 16 point leads/deficits dont mean anything, you will never win a title.

I mean it isn't just the issue of me looking at one team, like sa, and saying we can't beat them. Who knows we get hot as hell, we might beat them in a 7 game series. But at the end of the day when you rely on this type of style, the law of averages catch your ass.

Good win by the suns tonight but like chesse said it did show our huge weakness at defense especially since the Warriors were without Baron Davis but hey its a win on the road and that is always good and good to see Nash hit that huge 3 at the end. Now we have a big homestand coming up against pretty good teams lets get some wins :)

I didn't even come close to saying that. You also neglect to mention that we almost won against a team playing the best in the league two nights ago without THEIR best player as well - although we didn't have Nash either, so it's a wash there pretty much.

I just can't get all upitty about this win. I just can't believe how atrocious our defense is and I'm struggling to figure out how that's going to change. If someone could make a rational argument for that I probably wouldn't be so worried, but man, our defense has been relatviely weak in the past, but now it's just god-awful. That's what is really troubling me about this club.

less james jones more KT = better defense

D'antoni had a ***** about playing against nelson in some stupid uptempo game so he thought it would be cool to let JR play the whole damn game.

Did you miss the key charge that James Jones took or what?

Take out Amare and put in KT if you want better defense. Am I the only one that noticed how much better we looked on defense at the end of the game when Amare wasn't playing

i did - the second part wasn't addressed at you - it was just a general point I was making. sorry if that got lost in computer translation. I think we're in total agreement about this team overall and I think we both desperately want to be proven wrong or see some major change.

amare is definitely a mixed bag at this point. players can play offense pretty well to a certain extent if they're rusty/working their way back in to shape because they are on the attack but they are pretty poor defenders when they have to react.

He's never been that good of a defender to begin with. He commits way too many dumb fouls.

I like Amare here like everyone else but the man has his faults.

Is the much heralded coach Iavaroni good at defense? I wasn't alive during his playing days (I'm pretty sure) so I haven't a clue. I heard Walton say he was a Sixer though if that jogs any memories...

Someone pointed out in another thread that Amare seems confused by the calls against him. I wonder how this will be addressed by the coaches.
