This entire season was about winning a title. Then they lost Stoudemire. Then they played well anyway, so it was, "Maybe we'll still be able to put it together when Stoudemire comes back." Then they lost Thomas. But Stoudemire's recovery was looking good, so it was, "Maybe we can tread water while waiting for Stoudemire, and then put it together when Thomas comes back." But then Stoudemire's comeback got derailed, and I think that did them in. They know they can't win a title, so there isn't much to care about.

That's what Nash really means when he says, "It wasn't meant to be."

Anyone could see that in the playoffs we wouldnt go far without a legit bigman.

While Tim Thomas is playing great, He has always been known as a big small forward.And now hes our center.

This team has to be dead tired playing every night without a real bigman.

Sooner or later this 3 smallforward lineup was going to get worn down and exposed.

Time to just let it end and bring everyone back next year and make a run at it again in 2007 with a hopefully healthy Amare and Kurt Thomas.

amen. Besides, I can guarantee that we would all be crying like babies right now if it was the other way around and the referees did make those calls. The calls definitely did not go the Phoenix Suns way down the stretch, but I don't think they were that bad. It was much worse earlier in the fourth quarter when Shawn Marion fouled out of the game.

I certainly don't think it was so bad that we should be talking about never watching the NBA again

The tallest guy on the court for us is 6'8

You cant lose your starting allstar PF and then also lose your Center late in the season and still expect to compete.

I can't swallow a loss like this. If we lost by a blowout, I can finally admit that this team isn't there yet. Each game was within winnable reach and we blew it over and over again. Now that's frustrating.

I don't care who we lose in 2nd round. I really don't care but I want this team to get past the first round and beat Faker. I will be disappointed if they cannot do that. Almost all Faker players step up in playoff times. Geroge hit 2 straight 3pt to put his team behind 1pt in early 4th. Then you have Sasha who made like 7/11 3pt and Parker, Lamar and Walton who are all playing above their average. Why do they show more HUNGER than us?

How many of our players are playing BELOW their average?

Marion needs 2 games of insult to finally "get it"? He played very well down the stretch. He went in for rebounds almost every single time and played good defense. Why does it need to take 3 games to force him to play above his level?

Then we have Barbosa who only showed sign of improvement in game 1. Diaw had a great game today and it took him 3 games to figure it out. And Eddie House? He has not been on fire at all. Tim Thomas has been the surprise.

Why can't we show more hunger? We are going to get out rebounded anyway and we've shown to play through that. I am disappointed in Nash today because he couldn't seal the win in the 4th when we needed to. He could be tired or whatever but if he is going to be the MVP this season, he's gotta carry this team over Faker. I know MVP is only for regular season but I don't care. I have pride in being Nash's fan and I hope he understands his pride in being the MVP.

It disgusts me that Nash is just shrugging his shoulders, and then D'Antoni just wants to credit the Lakers and purse his lips. This team makes me sick sometimes, only Tim Thomas had the balls to say anything negative. There is no fire or pride in this team, we are way too laid back for our own good.

3) On one hand, it's understandable WHY an NBA team and its players don't criticize the refs--games and money are lost in such fruitless pursuits. On the other, however, there should be some sort of equalization. YOu can't blame losses (or wins) on official's calls. But there is no denying at all that they have an effect--most of the time, that effect is fairly large in this league.

4) Size was a huge issue for us--defensively, we weren't THAT bad, but we couldn't do anything inside. Barbosa couldn't finish and we didn't run hardly at all. When we DID run, we finished well, but we just didn't run as much as we could have. And I hate the excuse of it just being the playoffs--if we wanted to run, we could have. We have played teams that are slow-down teams in the regular season, and we MADE them run with us.

5) I never thought we could win the title this season, especially after hearing everything about Kurt Thomas. What hurts more is that the Lakers were the team that is beating us (and will probably beat us in this series). But let's face it, the Lakers are playing some of the best basketball of the playoffs of any conference. They came in with a plan and have executed it to perfection. The losses for us have not been bad--we have played absolutely horribly in this series, and we barely lost these games. I won't trash Marion today 'cause he did show up, while Nash faded away in the end. Why can't we have both of them play well on the same day?

Of all players, I am mostly disappointed in Barbosa. I know it's unfair to ask a lot from him but when we are so short handed, I just hope he can surprise me. He was shooting like 45% on 3pt line during regular season. What's his shooting % in the last 3 games? I don't even want to go there.

If this team has ANY pride left, win game 5 and at least take it to Laker's.
