My take exactly. I was like “who the hell is this kid”!!!! I could not believe how impressed I was with this kid. He’s like 18 years old. Then when they spoke to him, he sounded like an NFL offensive coordinator. I really can’t wait to watch that kid next year. Whenever he’s slated to come out, I hope we go 0-16.

From another forum:

Crazy Stat - Tua Had More Passing TDs Than 19 FBS Teams
Tua finished the season with 11 TDs.

He had more than triple-option schools (Navy, Georgia Tech, Air Force, and Army).

The bigger programs? Michigan (9) and Florida and Kentucky (10).

The entire list:

Army 2
Tulsa 6
Rice 6
UTEP 7
Rutgers 7
Illinois 8
New Mexico 8
Kent St. 8
Ga. Southern 8
Michigan 9
Old Dominion 9
Minnesota 9
Kentucky 10
UNLV 10
Florida 10
Charlotte 10
Air Force 10
Georgia Tech 10
Navy 10

And this is with Tua mostly playing mop-up after comfortable leads where you have to play somewhat conservative to avoid TOs and avoid the perception of running up the score.

Seemed like Alabama had a handful of Freshman making big plays all game long. They are set for the next couple of years.
