Yes, Wilks had to go but they are all correct in saying a big part of the problem was in the GM and roster. Keim should have walked hand in hand with Wilks out the door. That is where Bidwill dropped the ball.

Keim should have been run out of town too but this roster isn't THAT much worse than the one BA took to 8-8 last year. its' not as good, rookie QB replacing Palmer for example. But Palmer didn't play teh full year, we got back our starting RB and starting LT(part of the year at least).

The point being the difference in coaching between BA and Keim was staggering, the Cards correctly realized with a young QB and a likely big roster turnover coming they needed a better coach.
