Well I just got back from Tucson.

NAU fought hard and Arizona turned it over twice in the red zone but the Cats win 31-12.

And who knew Arizona actually has a punter and a kicker.

It was only NAU but a win is a win I guess. It's going to take a miracle to beat Purdue this weekend. If I were the offensive coordinator I'd run about fifty screen plays, it seemed to work for ASU against the Boilermakers.

That is probably not a horrible idea Mao. When you have an agresive D those screens will kill em.

ASU should have thrown one in the last 4 downs of the LSU game.

That was one sloppy football game.

UA is going to need to improve if they want to be good this year...

Speaking of UofA, Mao what do you think of those Navy helmets they wear now? As much as it pains me to say it as an ASU fan, I always thought the white-blue-white combo was nice, the navy helmets look really weird to me, also the "A" on the navy helmets looks smaller than it used to be. I think the navy helmets just make them look sort of high schoolish (I guess I think that cause my high school wore navy helmets w/ navy jerseys)

They could be wearing pink for all I care as long as they win some games. The blue helmets are a bit different but they're not that revolting. I definitely don't see how they're high-schoolish. That adjective would best describe their play on the field the last four years.

Like i said, the new UA helmets are very similiar to what my HS wore, so its probably just an association in my mind only. But I think they should go back to the white.

It look like I'm going to be in the house for the Cats/Boilers game on Saturday. Hopefully they can keep it close although I'm pretty pessimistic on their chances.

Sucks how both state schools are playing big OOC games but are relegated to radio.

no crap. The Pac-10 TV schedule contract just plain sucks. I e-mailed Tom Hansen Pac-10 commish & he gave me some half-assed answer....

We're the only conf that has to put up with that crap

It's amazing really how any coach has been able to build powerhouse program out here considering how much they're hamstrung with idiotic Pac-10 rules. Thankfully Lute is leading the charge to get the moronic Fox Sports affiliation dumped so the conference can get some ESPN games. It's a problem when I live in Phoenix and can get more Tennessee games on television than Arizona or Arizona State games.
