Good luck, John, wherever you wind up in this crazy, mixed-up world.
Now they need to draft Jared Zabransky out of Boise to be our 3rd string QB/back-up Strong Safety.
i say good luck to John Navarre. I liked him. I am never bitter toward players leaving. I wish him well in the future.
I like the idea of drafting Zabranksky also. he would make a fine back-up in a couple of years.
I do remember all the threads here and elsewhere .. all the Josh supporters said he just needed to go to a different team and he would immediately become the starter .. what happened .. ??? he showed in Detroit what he showed here .. which is not much ..To the Lions as the 6th wide-out right behind McCown.
Remember all the threads saying Josh would be a great starter somewhere else?

I agree that he should be able to have an opportunity to be a #2 or #3 QB for some team instead of a WR .. but I do not see him as a starter in this league at any time ..Not sure Josh had an opportunity on the field to show anything at all with the Lions. I thought McCown was a class act, I hope he finds success somewhere other than buried on the Lions WR depth chart... Yikes.
Yes he was a Steeler .. I don't know if that automatically makes him the favorite for the #3 job ... we may bring in another QB to groom through the draft ...wasnt boyd a steeler? if so he will stay as #3
What about SiMEon Rice?

I had forgotten about Boyd having been a Steeler.
My first guess here is, he will get a good shot. Obviously he's no stranger to Whis, and if Whis didn't think he was all that, then I doubt he'd even make the roster.
I don't know that much about Boyd, but it seemed a lot of people were pretty high on him in Pittsburgh, but unseating Big Ben is a pretty steep battle.
This will be interesting to keep an eye on.
