Except Navarres confidence.
If he is good I most certainly wouldn't start him because he is setup to fail.[/QUOTE
What this kid endured during his 4 yrs at Michigan certainly has prepared him for what he is experiencing now. I doubt that a couple of bad games would damage him at this point. As bad as SF has been, this should be a game to raise his confidence.

Well it's a valid point and the fact I feel he shouldn't have started the last game has no bearing on what's right now.
Now since other bridges are smoked he might as well play.
You're probably right he won't wilt and he is the type that would like another crack at it.

I couldn't disagree more. Green gave up on McCown way too early.AZCardsWin said:I agree 100%. We know what we have in McCown and King. We need to know what we have in Navarre. I think we will have our #2 QB next season in him.

Look how long the Ravens have given Boller? (... who still sucks IMHO).

There would seem to be no better time than now to start him. We are not under any pressure to win to make the playoffs. The team has been playing poorly. His confidence is not going to improve by sitting him after one game. It is time to sink or swim. He did not throw anymore intereceptions than Plummer yesterday and Plummer's game really meant something. He did not throw anymore interceptions than Manning in his first start and he is still in there. What bothers me is the Bears go out and get Henson a couple of weeks ago and he lites it up yesterday. Carter goes to the Jets. All we do is bring up players from the scout team. As bad as our QB situation is I wonder why we did not go out and get one of these QB's. The Bears even signed Jeff George. Right or wrong they are addressing a problem while we seem to ignore the largest problem we have--no servicable QB. I would think the Bidwills are getting very nervous. I would be. Sure would be interesting to sit in on this weeks meeting between Graves and Green and maybe Bidwill if he attends these meetings. I am supposing they meet each week to discuss the game??????
SeattleCard said:Yeah, I suppose that wasn't too coherent.
My point is that the Ravens have given Boller tons of time to develop and still haven't given up on him, although in my opinion Boller blows. Simply, McCown should have had the opportunity to finish the season.
Regardless, I am happy to have Green coaching this team. It seems like he'll try anything to get this team in the W column.

If they're starting this guy (whose hurt by the way) you can be sure Green's tanking the season.
"OH - he gives us the best chance" Yea - right tell it to the STH's - season ticket holders who pay your sallary Green!
D-Dogg said:A healthy Navarre would have given us a better chance to win. After one half of play, he showed me more than Josh has in three years, and King has in two starts.
It's terrible that he broke his finger; I was looking forward to seeing him play.

Josh stayed way too long. I'm glad Green had the balls to admit his mistake and bench him.
WildBB said:Look Navarre is being brought in to fail. If you can't see that than I can't help you. End of story. McCown isn't the long term answer either , but Navarre giving us the best chance - please.
