As per the Arizona Sports Report. I like the decision, nothing to lose so lets see what he can do the rest of the way!

Nothing to lose now.

Except Navarres confidence.

If he is good I most certainly wouldn't start him because he is setup to fail.

What this kid endured during his 4 yrs at Michigan certainly has prepared him for what he is experiencing now. I doubt that a couple of bad games would damage him at this point. As bad as SF has been, this should be a game to raise his confidence.

Well it's a valid point and the fact I feel he shouldn't have started the last game has no bearing on what's right now.

Now since other bridges are smoked he might as well play.

You're probably right he won't wilt and he is the type that would like another crack at it.

McCown and King are obviously not what Dennis Green wants, so may as well let Navarre close out the season...

Great I really wanted to see him play in person. Just a totally different perspective when you're at the game over watching on TV.

It really doesn't make any difference anyway who plays QB; we've had the same results from the last 5 guys to take snaps in Cardinal Red.

I agree 100%. We know what we have in McCown and King. We need to know what we have in Navarre. I think we will have our #2 QB next season in him.

At least he won't have to deal with the crowd noise like he did at Michigan.

I couldn't disagree more. Green gave up on McCown way too early.

I agree with that. We gave up too soon.

Look how long the Ravens have given Boller? (... who still sucks IMHO).

When someone doesn't have it, he doesn't have it.

Josh stayed way too long. I'm glad Green had the balls to admit his mistake and bench him.

How in the world does your second sentence support your first?

Why not? We would actually look sort of dumb by not starting him. QB roulette cannot be the theme forever. Got to figure out if he or McCown are worth keeping by years end. We have an idea what McCown can do after nine games. I see King gone. We need to draft a QB and sign a FA QB to get us through the next couple of years. Next year is going to be tough again. I honestly cannot see how we can get above .500. I also think we need some changes in the coaching staff. Denny needs to forget his buddies and get some real coaches. I would think ownership would insist on it.

Yeah, I suppose that wasn't too coherent.

My point is that the Ravens have given Boller tons of time to develop and still haven't given up on him, although in my opinion Boller blows. Simply, McCown should have had the opportunity to finish the season.

Regardless, I am happy to have Green coaching this team. It seems like he'll try anything to get this team in the W column.

There would seem to be no better time than now to start him. We are not under any pressure to win to make the playoffs. The team has been playing poorly. His confidence is not going to improve by sitting him after one game. It is time to sink or swim. He did not throw anymore intereceptions than Plummer yesterday and Plummer's game really meant something. He did not throw anymore interceptions than Manning in his first start and he is still in there. What bothers me is the Bears go out and get Henson a couple of weeks ago and he lites it up yesterday. Carter goes to the Jets. All we do is bring up players from the scout team. As bad as our QB situation is I wonder why we did not go out and get one of these QB's. The Bears even signed Jeff George. Right or wrong they are addressing a problem while we seem to ignore the largest problem we have--no servicable QB. I would think the Bidwills are getting very nervous. I would be. Sure would be interesting to sit in on this weeks meeting between Graves and Green and maybe Bidwill if he attends these meetings. I am supposing they meet each week to discuss the game??????

Probably 'cause they have no one else on their roster who is better than Boller, lol.

IMO Ravens haven't given up on Boller because he was a number one pick and they have invested probably lots of money in him. Hard to admit you are wrong with a low number one pick like Boller.

It makes sense to stay with Navarre and see if he is worth keeping. If so I agree with AZCardswin that he may be the backup next year. Most likely Denny will get an experienced QB in the off season.

Boller is a high first round draft pick and "franchise" qb...McCown isn't.

THANK YOU!

If they're starting this guy (whose hurt by the way) you can be sure Green's tanking the season.

"OH - he gives us the best chance" Yea - right tell it to the STH's - season ticket holders who pay your sallary Green!

A healthy Navarre would have given us a better chance to win. After one half of play, he showed me more than Josh has in three years, and King has in two starts.

It's terrible that he broke his finger; I was looking forward to seeing him play.

Look Navarre is being brought in to fail. If you can't see that than I can't help you. End of story. McCown isn't the long term answer either , but Navarre giving us the best chance - please.

You don't bench the starter after two wins - nop matter how ugly. You'r replacement comes in and scores you 13 points in two games and you loose those effectively putting your team on the shelf. It put the team in dissarray! Green's an ass. He's TANKED it.

Navarre gave us the best chance. Or maybe you didn't watch the first half of the Detriot game.

Navarre was not being brought in to fail. Navarre is one of Denny's picks...he wants those guys to succeed.

I watched

the Detroit game. Tell me what was so exceptional about Navaree D-dog?
Tell me? We know how you feel about McCown, but what is it about Navarre that was so great?
