A lot of people think that Navarre is better than both McCown and King. I'm not sure. He looked good in pre-season but that isn't an accurate way to tell.

Unless Shaun plays significantly better on Sunday against the Jets, I wouldn't mind seeing Navarre start at Detoit.

He's not ready to start yet..........I do not think we'll see him until we are mathematically out of the playoff race.

I'm not ready to throw in the towel 10 games in but as I said before the season started, I'm not a McCown fan and I know King is not the answer at QB. Give Navarre a shot at a three or four game audition like we did for Josh last year.

You know what, I agree but I would give Shaun two more games. NOT because I think he'd deserve them, but I would rather start Navarre at HOME and not on the road. Let the guy feel the home crowd behind him, have some love and build some confidence. Then he can go on the road and whip some ass, knowing somebody back home loves him. :)

Hopefully not, but if the Cards go on to lose the next 3 games (4-9) I would hope that Navarre gets a shot. You don't draft a guy if there wasn't something you didn't like about him.
Bottom line. We need to know if next years starting qb in currently on this roster or not.

Answering a few of the points brought up:

1. Shaun King deserves a decent shot too, just like McCown got. I don't like Bledsoe because he's so immobile and I don't like John Navare for the same reason.

2. Tango, the way Adrian Wilson was used and coached under McGinnis is much different than now. Still, it seems I was indeed wrong about Wilson. It won't be the last time I'm wrong either.

3. Jurecki brought up an interesting opinion on Anquan Boldin this morning. Mike thinks Boldin is very unhappy with his role and wants the ball more. King already went to him more yesterday.

4. Denny Green has agendas he doesn't tell people about. He just goes about pursuing them. The rest of us just try to pick up on the clues and try to interpret them. Contrary to the bullcrap Denny fed the media, Green was already thinking about changing QBs because he wouldn't defend McCown last Monday and said McCown had to play better.

MJ is an idiot! Boldin admitted that this week was the first game where his knee was 100%. I'm sure Boldin will get his catches regardless who is the QB. Is it really likely that McCown would try to force the ball to someone who hasn't been on the field in 2 months?

Isnt Peyton Manning considered immobile too? Forget King, He's had plenty of chance's in this league. I'd like to see Navarre get a shot. :)

This may be biased, because I'm a Michigan fan, but I would rather have Navarre backing up McCown for my team if Navarre's wasn't starting. Shaun King is nice and all, but I think you guys would thrive more with Navarre. King has had plenty of time to play in the NFL, but it sems like he just can't "get 'er done" IMHO....

You do not draft a QB if you are NEVER going to give him a shot I hope? Surely we will give him some time the last few games unless we turn this titanic around.

Barring injury, I doubt we will see Navarre this season. McCown is likely gone come 2005, King may be too. Navarre will come to camp with two new FA QBs.

I think we ought to give King at least one more game before we speculate his departure in 2005. I'd hate to give up a guy that has starting experience just because he won't be our starter. Same with Josh, except that his sitch is a little different because he's a FA.
