Good showing by Derrick Jones, Jr., in his first appearance. With his almost non-existent playing time for the Suns, the NBA slam dunk contest almost was his first appearance. :) And Booker did well Friday night.

'Sad that it represents our highlight of the season. It symbolizes the shallowness of Sarver's leadership. He is a showman, nothing more.

The question is does the 6th largest city (13th largest metropolitan area) in the country deserve better? I love the Valley. It has been my home for 39 years.

But I really wonder if it is fair for me to hope that we act like more than a small market team. And getting worse every year.

But, as I've posted before, if Sarver sells the team, there is a good chance they'd move. In the words of Christopher Walken, "What a conundrum."

I know you're not the only one that is concerned about this possibility but I just don't it as realistic and certainly nowhere near "good chance". Perhaps if we don't turn a corner in the next few years and if he pushes for a new arena and gets rebuffed at every turn, I could see selling becoming a possibility but even then the new owner would be hard pressed to justify a relocation.

The league still has a black eye from the only other recent time they've allowed a viable team to up and move, I can't see it happening now. Especially since Stern and his cronies are out of the picture. Besides, with this TV deal, Sarver's need to sell has pretty much evaporated.

If you don't like baseball fine but there is no contest. The MLB all star game is the only one worth watching. Best pitchers and hitters in the game going head to head is awesome.

Agreed, at least among the traditional big 3 in the US. I don't follow any sports other than baseball, football and basketball so I don't know how they approach it. But the NBA All Star game has never been a true competition and it has become less so every year, especially from the Magic Johnson fiasco onward.

My lord... I haven't watched one of theee games in a while, but good lord, it's just unwatchable now. I tried to watch for a couple minutes at the start of the 2nd half and guys were literally just jogging around. I know it's an exhibition and if it's close at the end, maybe they actually look like they give a damn, but I can't remember garbage like I watched tonight growing up.

Well, I watched about a minute or so of the game right before halftime. I don't call that basketball, what little I saw. Totally unwatchable as far as I'm concerned, much like most all of the basketball games.
It used to be my favorite short to watch, but not anymore.

I watched 5 minutes of 3rd and turned it off. I can't believe they charge people money to attend that. If curry laid down in the court like that when we were growing up and he was on Jordan's team MJ would have kicked him in the head. That was a farce. And the brow having the scoring record is a slap in wilts face. NBA is becoming mockery of itself.

Do you guys remember during the strike season when the NBA Players got together and had an "exhibition" game during the strike... that was just beyond awful basketball? That's what last night's game reminded me of.
