It seems like McD always comes close but can never pull through on the big signings/trades.

Happened with LMA, happened with Cousins trade and now happening again with Porzingis.

Somehow trading for LMA does not seem exciting anymore.

Cousins was there for almost any team but few teams wanted to give much value for him.

IMO, Porzingis is the best of the bunch but there must be tremendous competition for him.

I never doubt McDonough's effort.

Yeah not anymore but I meant 3 years ago when we did.

According to the reports, the Spurs initially are seeking a Top-10 pick in Thursday’s draft to move Aldridge. Most teams in the lottery like Sacramento and Phoenix could open the cap space to absorb Aldridge’s contract, but the fact that a deal hasn’t happened shows Aldridge’s value on the market might have decreased from the number-4 pick from Phoenix or the number 5 or 10 picks from Sacramento.

A source told the San Antonio Express News the Spurs are just using ‘due diligence’ in exploring the market for Aldridge. With Aldridge having a player option in his deal for next summer, the early expectation is he may decline that option and explore the free agent market next summer.

I understand. It's funny what was interesting 3 years ago is not so interesting today.

I think Porzingis would still be interesting in 3 years.

Aldridge and George would be the dumbest possible acquisitions. No to both. If McDonough does either he should be strung up.

That guy started looking old this year.
If Pop doesn't want him stay away.

He was not able to score on James Harden in the post on several occasions. I want no part of LMA at this point.

Aldridge had that heart issue come up last March. That alone would make me reluctant to bring him in. I wouldn't trade #4 for him even if they'd take back Knight's contract.

Boston could really screw up our plans. Haha If Jackson is not there at 4 and Sac has the 5/10 for 4 swap in play I jump at that.

I'll be honest, if I'm sac I don't make that trade with Suns calling their bluff on us drafting fox. If the Suns say we are trading the 4!to another team and you can beat it with 5 and 10, then I do it.

I don't like the Suns trading for the 5 and 10. How many players can a team have that are under the age of 20?
