A couple of point guards still out there.

With the soon to be gaping hole at C… eh… I’m quickly falling back into “who cares” mode.

It's after 1 am Eastern time but I'm about ready to wrap it up. Watch something happen as soon as I do.

I didn't think tonight had any meaningful deadline. The moratorium ends tomorrow at noon Eastern.

Pickings are slim for point guard depth. As I mentioned previously, the Bulls have a surplus. Maybe they would consider a trade.

Sans a trade, Schroeder is our best option.

Interesting. The Heat were already paying the luxury tax if I remember correctly. This just adds to that.

Aaron Holiday goes to the Hawks. I wish the Suns had played him more.

any way you slice it, management really screwed up with Holiday.
he either had less value than they anticipated when we acquired him
or it will turn out that he has more value that we didn't utilize

another "internal matter" we may never be privy to

I believe

I believe he is better than Cam Payne. I think he could be a starter in this league someday. I wish we had kept him too.
I doubt he ever even sniffs being a starter. And his ceiling is well below cams based on what they’ve both shown. When cam is on his game he’s been a very good floor general and spark off the bench.

Cam Payne is only 1 inch taller than Holiday who is 6 foot.

Holiday played well here. It was a small sample size and may not have held up over a larger one, but he looked good in his minutes here. Monty definitely didn't take sufficient advantage of him. It may not have changed the outcome of the Suns season, but I guess we'll never know how much of a difference more playing time would have made.
