The Philadelphia 76ers won't know until the draft lottery on May 12 if they will have a first-round pick in June's draft. Their pick is only top 6 protected and the lottery will decide their fate at that point.

One thing is for sure, however, and that is they will have a second-round pick. So either way, the Sixers will be active in the draft. Not only with the selection, but one has to believe Philadelphia will be involved in a lot of trade rumors.

A mock draft performed by Bleacher Report has the Sixers selecting Alabama guard Labaron Philon with their Round 2 pick at No. 36 overall:

Labaron Philon quickly grabbed attention this year with his pacing, control, touch and playmaking.

Scouts are still questioning what there is to love about him. He's 177 pounds and a limited athlete and shooter. But he's clever with the dribble to get to spots, and he's a good passer and decision-maker with statistically one of the best float games (21-of-32) of any draft cycle in recent memory.

Those running touch shots make his weak pull-up shooting less of an issue, though the lack of three-point volume will be seen as worrisome.

The Sixers will have plenty of options to look at as time moves on. One has to assume they will do a lot of due diligence in order to get the job done and make the right selection. Philon makes a lot of sense, but one also has to wonder if Philadelphia will even make this selection.
