I think Derrick Rose has bigger things to worry about than his injury. After a woman accused him and friends of raping her together, he came out today and said that the woman consented to having *********.

He says that the reason she is claiming rape is because she wants to get reimbursed for a sex toy that was used during the event.

No I'm not making this up

All I can do it joke. Time to move on from him. Now is talking about cashing in on this next contract. Amazing how money changed him.

The Magic are reportedly willing to trade Channing Frye. He is age 32.

I wonder if they are willing to send a first round draft pick with him to find a taker? Maybe I'm wrong, but i can't see much of a market for him although he can still hit the 3 point shot.

Hopefully the Suns have put this matter in their rear view mirror.

Indeed. Used to be one of my favorite players in the league...

On Monday:

Fenerbahce Ulker 101 Nets 96.

Bogdan Bogdanovic 17 points

Bojan Bogdanovic 3 points.

Just having some fun. However, McDonough did go to Brooklyn to watch Bogdon play. He has to be thinking about if he can help the Suns next season. The Suns have so many guards in play for the future. At some point in time I think the Suns may have to consider trading one.

It is crazy, super crazy. As a starter I don't even know that he qualifies as "mediocre". He put up some decent base stats over a brief stretch in the playoffs (while at the same time disappearing on a regular basis) but when you look at his production compared to his minutes... not impressive... at all. His only calling card is rebounding and even there his rebound rate places him well out of the "elite" category that you'd think he would need to be in to earn that salary.

New Orleans has claimed free agent guard Ish Smith off waivers, league source tells Yahoo Sports. Smith has a one-year non-guaranteed deal.

I'm happy for Ish if he makes the New Orleans team. However, I'm sort of sad he is off the market even though the Suns were likely not interested. I wish him the best.

So Barbosa finally got his ring.

Who would have thought that Marion and Barbosa would end up with rings while Amare and Nash end up without...

Marion overvalued himself on the Suns. He was a great 3rd option dirt worker type of player but he wasn't a max contract/first option type of player. After he left Phoenix he seemed to realize that and was really effective wherever he went. Glad he got a ring. Barbosa getting one while Nash is ringless is something I thought would never happen.
