Brian Windhorst of the Cleveland Plain Dealer has refuted reports that the Heat will open the season in Cleveland.

"Despite some reports out there, Heat NOT currently slated to open season in Cleveland. Schedule not finalized yet anyway, tho," Windhorst wrote on Monday afternoon.

I hope they don't make them play in the opener. That's way too soon for that match up. Got to build it up a little.

I was thinking the same thing. A fired up Cavs team playing at home early in the season might give the Cavs their best chance of winning.

Looks like the Heat open at Boston and will play in Cleveland on December 2nd. Also, Christmas Day game is gonna be Heat at Lakers.
