The Rams couldn't stop the run last year. So they bring in Suh to help with that.

Yeah I'm sure that Suh is looking forward to being a run stuffer on a one year deal when he is banking on big sack numbers for one more large contract. I don't see this ending well for the Rams.

You're saying Suh either knowingly put himself in a position he doesn't really want to play or is too dumb to grasp the concepts laid out to him during the meeting?

You know he took less money to play for Wade Phillips and the Rams, right?
"The deal is worth $14 million, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports. Suh had more lucrative offers but took less money to join Los Angeles’s revamped defense, Schefter adds."

Wade Phillips is going to have an absolute field day with that defense. The only chance teams will have is attacking their LB's with slot receivers and Te's. That interior pass rush is going to be insane...

I think the Rams talked him into it with the whole playing with Donald pitch. However according to reports McVay said he will play Suh at NT.

I don't see Suh getting huge sack numbers playing inside at NT as he will be getting double teamed a lot at NT. He is going to want Sacks and will get frustrated. I don't' see this helping the Rams improve their run defense.

Paper champions of the offseason.

The question still remains if the Rams can stop the run?

I read other forums some times. I came across Rams forum ramsondemand.com. The admins, moderators and posters there are clinically insane. It reads like North Korean propaganda about their dear owner, players and coaches. Just bonkers. If you have a minute give it a glance. Geez o boy o Geesus :doi:

Not sure they've been specific about how they're going to use him but what I've heard is that Suh took the Rams offer because he was excited at the prospect of finally NOT being double-teamed as a rule.

McVay came out today and said he will play Suh at NT in their base defense:

“Ndamukong is going to go into it in our base defense, he’s going to play the nose, actually. When you get into some of your four-down fronts, you’ll still see him line up as a (3-technique), you’ll see him line up as a shade on top of the center. Aaron Donald will still play the 3-technique in our base defensive structures.”

Sadly, it isn't the only Rams board that suffers from that sort of thing. IMO, it's fallout from the official board and the PD(Post Dispatch) board that were the primary places to talk about the Rams when they moved to St. Louis. Those were really bad and so poorly moderated that the boards were just plain unenjoyable.

Granted, the pendulum swung too far in the other direction with some of the "new" boards that popped up to try and compensate, but I think the concern is still there and they are over-protective of flame wars, poor behavior and trolling coming back.

The Original Herd, for example, just within the last few weeks lifted it's ban on the mention of Sam Bradford's name. If you started a thread or brought him up, your post/thread would be deleted.

Thanks, hadn't seen it. As with everything football though, what does that really mean? I mean, when they say when they're in their base defense isn't that about as ambiguous a statement as there can be? Anyway, not shooting the messenger or doubting what you'd heard.

I think the theory is regardless of where any one of them lines up, one of Donald, Suh or Brockers will be left one-on-one and that will be a big advantage for any of them.

Good ole ROD. Hasn't changed. The owner of it is an ass. I'm banned until 2097 or something like that. Mojorizen is a member there as is moklerman but I believe mokler has been banned as well.

I have been suspended there on a few occassions but never banned. I walked away and just didn't want to go back. A few of the members that were posting there found a new Rams board that was recommended and I followed suit.

He only had 4 last year, his sack total has dropped every year. I don't think he is the player he once was, maybe just a name now.

The money in new Rams DT Ndamukong Suh’s deal is very real — per source, he gets a fully guaranteed $14 million base salary for 2018 in his one-year deal. Incentives can push it to $15 million.

Why wouldn't he go to a contender, bank all that dough, and be able to earn another lucrative deal? On top of getting to live in one of the glitziest areas in the world? Granted, living in LA would be one of the biggest negatives for me personally, but I'm not...normal lol
