Nebraska basketball is among the teams that are interested in Iowa Hawkeyes wing Josh Dix. This was reported by On3’s Joe Tipton (subscription required) earlier this week. Illinois is also interested in the wing.

Dix averaged 14.4 points per game, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game. He was an efficient shooter, averaging 50.7% from the field and 42.2% from beyond the arc.

Dix had success against Nebraska basketball when the Hawkeyes met the Huskers twice. He scored 31 points in an Iowa win on January 6 and 15 points on March 9, when the two teams met for the final time during the regular season.

Nebraska will be looking for veteran production, with guard Bryce Williams and forward Juwan Gary no longer in the picture. Dix could be a solid fit, as he has success shooting the three-point shot. This is an important component of coach Fred Hoiberg’s system and would give the program the ability to space the floor.

Illinois and Nebraska are teams to watch for Iowa wing Josh Dix, who entered the transfer portal, per On3's Joe Tipton.

The Huskers will have to do a lot of work in the transfer portal in order to field a competitive team. Dix would be a step in the right direction, although the Illini are certainly a formidable recruiting opponent.
