UGH. I hate teasers. Today the only thing I heard on the radio about tix was "Listen tomorrow as we explain the contest you can enter to win Hannah Montana tix."

FM radio. ha ha ha ha

$0 a month.

ha ha ha ha

:yeahthat:

We listen to Pratt in the morning (I grew up listening to Dave and met him in Pasadena at the '87 Rose Bowl).

At work I listen to Pandora or talk/sports radio.

On road trips we mostly use our 6 cd changer.

Here is the first contest:

Email [email protected] with a "Hannah Montana" style name....like Jane Maine, or Morgan Oregon, etc. Try to be original. Send in your contact info also. They're taking entries by calls or emails and a winner will be drawn tomorrow morning.

These seats are "first 5 rows."

He also said he has 5 more pairs to give away.

Hannah Montana back in Glendale in early January - tickets go on sale at 10 am.

Miley Adds Tour Dates Hannah Over Fist
12/13/07
by Gina Serpe

In one fell swoop, Miley Cyrus has mended achy-breaky young hearts the nation over. Must run in the family.

The reigning tween queen has announced plans to extend her wildly successful split-personality Best of Both Worlds tour, adding 14 more dates to her three-month-plus itinerary.

The added performances keep the Hannah Montana star on the road through the end of January. The tour, originally set to wrap up Jan. 9 in Albany, New York, will now continue on for three more weeks before concluding Jan. 31 in Miami .

Along with the South Beach stop, Cyrus will be doing her twofer shtick in Detroit; Milwaukee; Chicago; St. Louis; Las Vegas; Glendale, Arizona; Austin; Lafayette, Louisiana; New Orleans; Orlando and Jacksonville, Florida.

Unlike her other soldout dates, which boast preteen pinups Jonas Brothers as the opening act, the newly added gigs will rely on fellow Disney Channel spawn Aly and A.J. to pump up the crowd.

The 15-year-old kicked off her Best of Both Worlds tour in St. Louis on Oct. 18 and has been wowing capacity crowds by singing as both her lovely Billy Ray Cyrus-sired self and as her Disneyfied alter ego, Hannah Montana.

The road show is in support of the mutliplatinum double album Hannah Montana 2/Meet Miley Cyrus, which, like the concert itself, is shaping up to be one of the biggest hits of the year.

Within minutes of the original batch of tour dates going on sale, tickets for all 55 venues sold out. Enterprising scalpers regularly fetched up to four and five times the face value for even nosebleed seats and at times much, much more: Last month, some Internet sellers were asking as much $2,000 for a $63 ticket.

Several state attorneys general launched probes to determine if such tickets were legally obtained by resellers.

And while some parents happily coughed up the cash to remain in their children's good graces, not all were as willing to play along with the exorbitant rates. A class-action lawsuit was filed last month against the Miley Cyrus Fan Club on the grounds that a paid membership to the club did not, as seemingly promised, guarantee first or in fact any dibs on ticket purchasing.

In any event, fans (and fan parents) had better get their credit cards ready. Tickets for the 14 added dates will go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m.

Hannah Montana essay winner a fake
Associated Press 12/29/07
Garland, Texas

An essay that won a 6-year-old girl four tickets to a Hannah Montana concert began with the powerful line: "My daddy died this year in Iraq."

While gripping, it wasn't true — and now the girl may lose her tickets after her mom acknowledged to contest organizers it was all a lie.

The sponsor of the contest was Club Libby Lu, a Chicago-based store that sells clothes, accessories and games intended for young girls.

The saga began Friday with company officials surprising the girl at a Club Libby Lu at a mall in suburban Garland, about 20 miles northeast of Dallas. The girl won a makeover that included a blonde Hannah Montana wig, as well as the grand prize: airfare for four to Albany, N.Y., and four tickets to the sold-out Hannah Montana concert on Jan. 9.

The mother had told company officials that the girl's father died April 17 in a roadside bombing in Iraq, company spokeswoman Robyn Caulfield said.

"We did the essay and that's what we did to win," Priscilla Ceballos, the mother, said in an interview with Dallas TV station KDFW. "We did whatever we could do to win."

She had identified the soldier as Sgt. Jonathon Menjivar, but the Department of Defense has no record of anyone with that name dying in Iraq. Caulfield said the mother has admitted to the deception.

"We regret that the original intent of the contest, which was to make a little girl's holiday extra special, has not been realized in the way we anticipated," said Mary Drolet, the CEO of Club Libby Lu.

Drolet said the company is reviewing the matter, and is considering taking away the girl's tickets.

How about getting the little girl a new mom, let her keep the tickets, and send Priscilla Ceballos to Iraq?

The mother should be sent to prison for fraud.
